Chapter 150 Can We Put This Matter Behind Us
The next morning at Kensington Group, Gabriel came out of the conference room after the morning meeting.
Suddenly, he remembered something and turned to instruct Brad, "Immediately terminate any cooperation with Eugene's company, acquire their company at a low price, and get him out of Rottloe."
Brad paused, not understanding Gabriel's sudden decision, and looked at him with a complex expression.
He reported truthfully, "Mr. Kensington, early this morning, news came that Eugene's family has gone bankrupt, with debts of millions of dollars. They fled in a hurry, and even their residence has been sealed."
So, it seemed unlikely that he could acquire Eugene's family group.
Gabriel frowned deeply, his expression cold and stern. He knew this must be Natalie's doing.
She really acted quickly.
Thinking about what she said last night made Gabriel extremely uncomfortable. He tried hard to suppress the strange feeling in his heart and responded with an "Hmm" expressionlessly, indicating that he already knew.
When Leo heard about Eugene's downfall, he was terrified. The food in front of him suddenly lost its taste!
Compared to Eugene, Natalie had been quite lenient with him!
If she ever decided to settle old scores, not even Gabriel might be able to save him!
Thinking about it, he couldn't stay calm, so he packed his things and rushed to Clark Group.
When Natalie heard about this, she just sneered, "Ignore him. The next meeting will proceed as scheduled!"
She didn't care at all.
Aaron nodded and replied, "Yes, Ms. Clark."
Natalie held two impromptu meetings, checked the progress of a project, and then went to the cafeteria for a meal.
Her schedule was very tight. It was almost time to get off work when she finally relaxed.
Natalie remembered there was still someone waiting.
She asked, "Is he still here?"
Aaron knew who she was asking about.
Then Aaron answered, "Yes, Mr. Dixon is in the reception room. He has had four cups of coffee and ordered takeout."
Natalie chuckled lightly; Leo was indeed patient.
"Let him in," she ordered.
"Yes." Aaron respectfully went out.
After a while, Leo knocked and entered, holding a wilted bouquet.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, and Leo smiled ingratiatingly. "Natalie, you're done so soon?"
He thought he would have to wait until she finished working late at night.
Natalie crossed her arms and looked at him mockingly. "Sorry to keep Mr. Dixon waiting."
Though she said this, there was no hint of apology in her tone.
Leo smiled and responded, "Not at all. My time isn't worth much."
After all, he came with sincerity today. Since Leo dared to come, he had mentally prepared to be tormented by Natalie. As long as she calmed down, everything would be fine.
Natalie inquired, "Does Mr. Dixon have something to discuss?"
Natalie took a sip of coffee, the rich aroma filling the air.
But after Leo had four cups, the smell almost made him nauseous. He had to endure it!
Leo looked at her seriously, carefully choosing his words. "I thought about what happened yesterday. As Gabriel's friend, I was really unfriendly to you before. I feel guilty, so I came to apologize formally."
Natalie looked at him, puzzled. "Aren't you here because you had learned Eugene's fate and are scared?"
She hit the nail on the head! She didn't even consider if it would harm his self-esteem!
Leo's face stiffened, then he smiled and admitted. "Yes, we were all deceived by Alyssa. Yesterday, we went drinking with Gabriel, and we got completely wasted. Talking about the past, we all regret it. We were really stupid back then. Natalie, considering our sincerity, can we put this matter behind us?"
He smiled obsequiously. The once arrogant trust fund baby probably never thought he would see a day like this, right?
