Chapter 260 You Don't Understand Her

Gabriel's lips parted slightly, not sure what to say.

Yves took another swig of his drink. "When she went to study in Eldoria, my dad hired eight nannies to look after her, but she secretly dismissed them. Victor wanted to visit her thirty times a month just to cook for her, Kyle gave her all his research bonuses, and I only took roles that filmed in Eldoria. We thought that was the farthest she'd ever be from us. But when she married you, she cut us off for three years. Gabriel, she chose you over us, but what did you do?"

Yves paused, tears streaming down his face. He wiped them away and finished his drink in one gulp.

Brad and the pilot sat in the front, not daring to make a sound.

The silence was suffocating.

Gabriel couldn't hear his heart breaking, but he felt like someone was tearing it apart, wanting to crush it and throw it away.

Yves looked at his pale face, feeling a strange sense of relief from the alcohol.

Everyone said it wasn't Gabriel's fault, that he didn't cause it, that he didn't control that plane.

But he couldn't help but think, if it weren't for him, Natalie wouldn't have been on that plane!

Then, he would still have his sister, someone to spend his money. She could buy yachts, mansions, islands; she would be alive!

Yves stood up, the cold wind making his clothes flap loudly, his hair already disheveled.

With a casual toss, the bottle disappeared into the air, into the sea.

"Gabriel, you should go. Whether it's guilt or whatever, it's too late. Go back to your normal life."

Gabriel's brow furrowed deeply, his voice hoarse and suppressed.

"I'm not leaving. What if she's still alive?"

Yves let out a cold laugh, tears falling uncontrollably, his gaze icy as he spoke, "You don't understand her at all, Gabriel. Natalie, she couldn't swim."

So, there was no "what if."

The boundless sea had long swallowed everyone.

The silence brought a chilling sense of despair.

Yves' last words were the final straw that broke Gabriel's back.

His face turned extremely pale, his hand at his side clenched tightly, veins bulging, his whole body trembling.

A person who couldn't swim falling into the sea, could the outcome be unexpected?

No.

He didn't understand her, didn't know anything about her, not even that she couldn't swim!

How laughable!

Was this what he thought was love for her?

The helicopter's roar suddenly amplified several times, piercing his ears.

No, maybe Yves was lying to him!

Gabriel took a few steps forward, wanting to ask clearly.

His body suddenly trembled and swayed, his hand on the cabin door suddenly loosened, and his whole body leaned forward, about to fall out.

Half of his body out, he saw the dark, deep sea, saw Natalie smiling faintly at him.

Well, he should have been on that plane, accompanying her.

Everyone was instantly shocked.

"Mr. Kensington! Be careful!"

The cold wind stung his face, the salty sea waves crashing, rolling with huge waves.

Yves grabbed Gabriel's arm with one hand, pulling him back forcefully, and closed the cabin door with his left hand. Shutting the sea out.

"Gabriel, what are you doing? Do you think this will bring Natalie back? She's gone. Who are you showing your wishful thinking to?"
