Chapter 327 You Don't Have to Attend
Wendy was stunned by Blair's scolding.
She had never had much status, and ever since she and Angela lost Blair's emerald ring, she had been living in constant fear.
Angela had been sent somewhere unknown, and Wendy had no one to talk to.
Now, being reprimanded by Blair, with Gabriel standing by without saying a word, watching coldly, she felt even more uncomfortable.
Her dislike for Natalie deepened.
Gabriel paused and instructed Brad, who was standing nearby.
"Take my mom home. She doesn't need to attend tonight's dinner."
Wendy was completely frozen in place.
Blair nodded as well, "That's fine, don't miss this chance to reconcile with the Clark family."
They didn't care about Wendy's feelings at all.
Wendy left in anger, her face looking very unpleasant as she walked away.
The dinner was set at a private restaurant, with no one else present besides them.
Ulysses attended with Victor and Natalie, and when they arrived, Blair and Gabriel had just gotten there as well.
The occasion wasn't very formal, so Natalie chose a misty blue long dress paired with Manolo Blahnik heels, exuding an aura of cool elegance with a touch of gentle liveliness.
Ulysses and Blair exchanged pleasantries, mostly discussing business cooperation, but the peaceful atmosphere felt quite awkward.
Sitting there, she could feel Gabriel's gaze on her from time to time.
It was very irritating!
When Gabriel's gaze fell on her once again, Natalie couldn't help but suddenly look up and glare back at him.
Gabriel was taken aback at first, then smiled warmly at her.
Natalie gritted her teeth and looked away. Pretending in front of the elders, huh?
She hadn't planned on coming, but Ulysses mentioned Gabriel saving her, so she couldn't be rude and had to stay for a while before leaving.
Seeing that it was about time, Ulysses gave Natalie a signal.
"Actually, the Kensington family saving her means a lot to both Natalie and me. Besides our business cooperation, Natalie has also prepared a gift for Mr. Blair Kensington."
Natalie smiled and took a box out of her bag, handing it over.
"Mr. Blair Kensington, I got this emerald ring from a private collector in Fairland. It was made by the same master as your original one.
I heard you often visit the museum to see it, knowing how much you miss it. To show our gratitude, this is for you."
Blair's mouth twitched. She knew he often went to the museum to see his emerald ring?
It sounded almost like she was mocking him.
But as soon as the box was opened, Blair's expression froze, his eyes slightly narrowing.
Not only was it identical, but it was even better in quality than the one in the museum, extremely exquisite and priceless.
Even if someone could afford it, the owner might not be willing to sell.
Now, it could only be seen in the hands of private collectors.
Who would have thought the Clark family would buy it back?
Blair's expression was excited as he leaned in to look, wanting to touch it but worried that the sweat on his hands might corrode the treasure.
However, his eyes soon dimmed.
The Clark family had spent a fortune to buy it for him, just to repay Gabriel for saving a life.
They didn't mention anything about marriage.
Giving this gift precisely showed that Ulysses didn't care about money and wouldn't use this relationship to wrong his daughter.
Blair immediately saw through Ulysses' intentions.
He smiled slightly and looked at Gabriel, who also seemed to understand Ulysses' meaning.
Gabriel's face darkened slightly, a faint chill enveloping him as he stared straight at Natalie.
Natalie kept her head down, eating, not participating in their conversation at all.
