Chapter 412 Let's Have Another Massage

Elijah still had a towel slung over his shoulder, his movements so smooth they could rival a pro's.

If he hadn't spoken up, Gabriel might never have realized that the person bathing him was Elijah.

Gabriel felt a mix of anger and embarrassment, like he'd been taken advantage of, but he didn't know who to be mad at.

Elijah's expression stayed as fierce and composed as ever.

"Ms. Clark told me to give you a bath and then a massage."

Even though it was pretty awkward for a bodyguard to be doing this, there were only two men in the house.

Jagger was out cold, snoring like a freight train, so Elijah had no choice but to do it.

Gabriel's eyes narrowed, his face a storm of emotions. His chest heaved with rapid breaths, his mind a complete blank.

His fists clenched tightly around the handles of his wheelchair, his face twisted in extreme displeasure.

Elijah, after a moment of hesitation, made up his mind. "Mint-scented it is."

A grown man using strawberry-scented body wash just didn't seem right.

Just as Elijah was about to touch Gabriel's shoulder with his practiced hands, he heard Gabriel's voice, cold and restrained, almost growling.

"Get out!"

The words were practically forced through gritted teeth.

Even though he was freezing, if Elijah touched him one more time, Gabriel didn't know what he might do.

He knew he would lose it.

Elijah's fierce face showed a flicker of surprise.

Why had Gabriel's attitude changed so quickly?

Hadn't he just been enjoying it?

Elijah held the bottle of body wash, looking conflicted.

"Mr. Kensington, are you sure you don't want a massage?"

Natalie had specifically instructed him.

Gabriel's gaze was icy and deep as he looked at Elijah, his face dark and cold. "Do I need to repeat myself?"

Elijah pressed his lips together. Fine, Mr. Kensington's refusal was clear, and he couldn't force it.

He put down the items in his hands and turned to leave.

Gabriel stayed in the bathroom for a full three minutes, trying to calm himself and control his emotions.

Wasn't Jagger supposed to find a way to get rid of Elijah?

Where was he now?

Gabriel calmly put on his robe and wheeled himself out, only to see Natalie in the room, causing him to pause.

Natalie stood by the door, waving Elijah off before walking in.

Seeing Gabriel in his robe, with his well-defined collarbone exposed and water droplets dripping from his hair onto his bare, muscular chest, Natalie raised an eyebrow, her eyes flashing.

Indeed, Gabriel's physique was impressive.

No wonder he could come up with such a low tactic.

Trying to seduce her?

Natalie's smile deepened. "Mr. Kensington, were you satisfied with Elijah's service?"

The thought of the scene made Gabriel want to scrub himself all over again.

His face tightened, showing a hint of displeasure, clearly upset.

"Natalie, don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

Why had things turned out this way?

None of what he had imagined had come to pass.

Natalie's eyes sparkled with a strange light as she looked at him.

"Even though I'm here to take care of you, divorced couples should still maintain some boundaries, don't you think?"

She emphasized "divorced," and Gabriel's face stiffened, the light in his eyes dimming instantly.

Seeing her smile, the blame and coldness in his eyes vanished in an instant.

His tightly pressed lips even showed a trace of bitterness.

He felt a suffocating sense of despair, directionless and hopeless.

With just one sentence, she had plunged him into an abyss, with no lifeline to grasp.

Ignoring his despair, she smiled. "Otherwise, how would we each move on and find new partners if word got out?"
