Chapter 129 Stupid, Clumsy, and Talentless

The atmosphere became tense for a moment, but fortunately, Gabriel didn't persist, and the topic shifted to finalizing the plan.

After more than an hour of meeting, it started to rain lightly outside.

When everyone went out, they rushed into their cars one after another. The area below the steps was low-lying, causing water to accumulate.

Natalie was the last to leave. She was wearing custom-made high heels, which were sleek and beautiful, and she hesitated on the steps.

Their company's Rolls-Royce was not far from the steps, but the driver couldn't get any closer.

Kyle noticed her expression and saw that there was only one umbrella left.

He habitually took it and held it over her head. "Shall we go?"

It seemed like he was used to serving her.

Natalie looked down, raised her toes, and casually lamented, "The diamonds on these shoes will fall off if they get wet."

Hearing this, Kyle looked at the dress she was wearing today. A princess carry wouldn't suit her; if he carried her horizontally, she might have a wardrobe malfunction.

He routinely took off his custom-made, perfectly tailored suit jacket, threw it on the ground in front of her, held the umbrella over her head, walked down two steps, and extended his hand with great patience.

He said, "This way, they won't get wet. Let's go."

Natalie sighed, thinking it would work. "This will work."

She placed her hand in his and stepped onto his jacket to get into the car.

Even the driver regretted that his driving skills might get him fired.

Nathan and Gabriel saw the whole scene.

Nathan shook his head and then remarked, "I've seen it all now. When a rich girl gets picky, she might even care if the air around her is sweet, and you still think her reaction is justified!"

Gabriel looked on with a heavy expression, giving Nathan a cold glance.

He silently gritted his teeth. Given Kyle's status, so many international leaders would lower themselves to shake his hand.

But he was so subservient to Natalie!

Their relationship seemed to go beyond friendship.

Were they too close?

"Natalie!" A shout came from nearby. Violet was waving at her from a distance, holding Starshadow and running towards her excitedly.

Natalie was taken aback, smiled in response, and introduced her quietly to Kyle, "That's Violet."

Kyle frowned slightly. Violet had already run up to him. She was about to hug Natalie when she noticed Kyle beside her.

She froze for a moment and then shouted in shock, "Oh my god, it is you!"

Without another word, she dropped Starshadow and hugged Kyle, leaving him pale with shock.

Kyle, embarrassed and flustered, pulled her off him, speaking sternly, "Please respect yourself."

But now that she had seen her idol, she couldn't contain her excitement.

Violet was not angry even after being pulled away. She looked up at the tall and slender Kyle. "I'm Violet. I've messaged you on Facebook, and you've given me feedback many times."

At this moment, closing the distance between them was more important.

Kyle glanced at her with a hint of disdain. "I know. You're dumb, clumsy, and untalented. You can mess up even a simple calculation in countless ways."

Seeing Violet go from excited to almost crying in just a few seconds, Natalie quickly grabbed Kyle's sleeve and shook her head.

Kyle paused and then looked at Starshadow crawling around on the ground, changing his tone. "But Starshadow, which you designed, is not bad. It has a solid foundation."

Violet smiled, her previous sadness seemingly gone. "It's just a dumb robotic Starshadow. I can make it even smarter!"

Starshadow kicked Violet in protest. "You're the dumb robotic Starshadow! Your whole family is dumb!"

Violet looked at it threateningly and then at Natalie and Kyle. "You really know each other, huh? Natalie, is Kyle your friend?"

Natalie smiled and nodded, holding Kyle's arm. "Violet is my friend. You should treat her better and not like you do to your PhD students."

Kyle turned his head away speechlessly and nodded.

Violet excitedly rubbed her hands and winked at Natalie.

Natalie added, "As an outsider, he will participate in your project. Violet, you need to take care of him."

Violet widened her eyes in surprise. "What?"

She thought, 'Let him follow my instructions?'

Violet trembled all over. Natalie smiled and whispered,

"His identity needs to remain confidential for now."

Violet nodded understandingly, a bit dizzy.

After saying goodbye, Natalie turned to get into the car, but her skirt got caught in the door, and she exclaimed.

Kyle silently threw away the umbrella, knelt down, carefully freed her skirt, and turned to look at the stunned Violet.

His voice was extremely cold. "Please throw away the trash for me. Thank you."

Without waiting for her response, Kyle got into the car, which disappeared into the misty rain.

Starshadow, playing with water nearby, was dumbfounded.

He hadn't gotten into the car yet!
