Chapter 224 What's She Up to

Natalie turned her head, looking for Kyle.

Kyle was nearby, chatting on the phone.

Natalie watched him with a warm, dependent look.

Gabriel's face darkened instantly.

The folks behind him didn't really know Kyle, but Gabriel knew.

Kyle was the youngest ever to snag the Quantum Innovators Award, a record still unbeaten.

Under the alias "Sunner," Kyle had cracked the big problem with the Nathan project.

After not seeing him for a while, here he was, popping up next to Natalie again.

Gabriel's gaze was heavy. He stared at her with a cold, noble vibe, standing there like he was untouchable.

But Natalie seemed totally unfazed.

Once the terms were set, could they really just move on?

Kyle hung up the phone and walked over, looking a bit stressed but still elegant.

He looked down at Natalie, his voice gentle, trying to negotiate. "There's an issue in the lab. I gotta head back. Can't hang out anymore."

Natalie frowned, her temper flaring. "You promised to spend the whole day with me! How can you bail now?"

Kyle explained patiently, trying to soothe her, "The research is at a critical point; I can't delay. How about I take you back first? Home or the office?"

Natalie glared at him, not wanting to say much with Gabriel around.

She just threw down the golf club and walked off.

Kyle calmly picked it up and quickly caught up to her, still coaxing her.

From behind, they looked like a bickering couple.

They both felt Gabriel's cold, piercing gaze but didn't turn around.

The people behind Gabriel stepped forward.

They recognized the woman as Natalie, Gabriel's ex-wife.

Seeing her laughing with another guy, they didn't dare joke about it.

They couldn't afford to.

Everyone was sweating nervously.

It was tough enough to get Gabriel out, only to run into this scene.

Why pick this place? They deeply regretted it!

Just as they were about to crack a joke to shift the focus, Gabriel suddenly turned around.

His face was stern, and he spoke firmly, "I'm busy today; everyone go back. We'll reschedule."

Then he strode away.

As if guided by some unseen force, he walked in the direction Natalie had left.

Gabriel was about to call out to Natalie when a woman suddenly appeared in front of him. Mary Campbell, decked out in designer brands and jewelry, twisted her ankle and was about to fall on him.

But Gabriel stepped back, avoiding her.

His disdainful gaze was clear.

How dare such a clueless woman come near him?

Mary fell to the ground, grimacing in pain but still forcing a smile. "What a coincidence, Mr. Kensington."

Her voice was sickeningly sweet and fake.

Seeing he couldn't catch up with Natalie, Gabriel's brows furrowed, his face cold as he looked down.

His gaze swept over Mary.

Seeing her face clearly, his expression froze slightly.

The next second, he felt utterly disgusted.

Mary's features bore a slight resemblance to Natalie's at first glance.

But on closer look, those features had been altered by a surgeon and pieced together with no real similarity.

Instead, her face looked stiff. Not even a fraction of Natalie's charm.

And the pieced-together features looked disgustingly deliberate, like a cheap knockoff.

How dare such a woman approach him?

Gabriel's aura was icy, his eyes cold. "Get lost."

His thin lips parted.

His voice was cold.

Mary was stunned, then forced a smile, trying to please him cautiously. "Mr. Kensington, I'm Mary, Natalie's cousin."

Mary was thrilled to see Gabriel.Natalie and Gabriel's relationship issues caused quite a stir online.

Natalie had really let go of Gabriel.

So Mary thought she could replace Natalie and become Gabriel's woman with this face.

If she became Gabriel's wife, she'd be set for life!

Gabriel's brows furrowed tightly, his cold eyes showing no sign of softening.

Who cared who she was?

He didn't want to waste words and said, "Get lost!"

His voice was extremely cold.

As he spoke, he stepped over her directly.

Gabriel's attitude was indifferent, his cold gaze shifting to see Natalie getting into a car.

Her gaze seemed to sweep this way but quickly moved away.

In the car, Kyle frowned slightly. "Isn't that Mary? What's she up to?"
