Chapter 438 Natalie's Hand
Natalie adjusted her seatbelt and smiled, "Mr. Williams, are you sure it's okay to leave the company like this?"
Robert shrugged, "You've handed over all the projects we were working on together. Should I stick around and haggle with Nathan and Dax? I announced a temporary pause on the project. We're focusing on developing the core product first. By the time we get back, we'll have something new and exciting to show."
Natalie felt a bit awkward, like she was shirking her responsibilities.
Robert paused, "Of course, Mike wanted to come too. I had to give him a stern talking-to last night. He hasn't forgiven me yet, so I had to come along."
Mentioning Mike made Natalie smile, "I see. Mr. Williams, you care so much about Mike. He must love you very much."
Robert smiled but stayed quiet.
A son who wanted to inherit his wealth at any moment?
He had already instructed Mike's tutors to double his homework.
Even on this trip, Mike wouldn't have much fun.
Gabriel watched Natalie and Robert chatting happily from the side, his eyes narrowing in displeasure.
The uncomfortable feeling in his heart grew stronger, as if he had overlooked something before, and now it was starting to become clear.
Jagger, sensing the tension, thought he couldn't just sit idly by.
He had disliked Robert for a long time.
Although he hadn't shown it, he could tell Robert treated Natalie differently from others.
With his extensive experience, he was sure Robert had ulterior motives towards Natalie.
He cleared his throat, "Ms. Clark, why don't we switch seats? The view from here is great."
Natalie frowned but didn't respond.
Mike's voice cut in decisively.
"Natalie wants to sleep, don't bother her!"
Jagger shut his mouth, embarrassed.
Natalie raised an eyebrow, thinking Mike was quite clever.
Mike hummed proudly.
If Ulysses hadn't insisted on bringing him along, he would be sitting next to Natalie.
He didn't trust Gabriel to sit next to Natalie.
Better let Robert keep an eye on her for now.
Throughout the journey, Natalie didn't ask about their destination.
Soon, she fell asleep, her head unconsciously leaning against the person next to her.
A few hours later, Natalie was gently shaken awake.
Mike's adorable face suddenly appeared close to hers.
He couldn't contain his excitement. "Natalie, look, it's a castle!"
The sky was starting to darken.
The plane was circling in the air, and Natalie instinctively looked out the window.
On a lush, green hill stood a castle estate, its lights twinkling, exuding a mysterious aura.
It was tall, imposing, and magnificent.
Natalie realized it was a private estate.
The plane landed on the estate's helipad.
Mike ran out enthusiastically, followed by Ulysses.
Robert squinted and then gentlemanly extended his hand to Natalie.
Before Natalie could take his hand, Jagger quickly stepped forward, "Let me help Ms. Clark down."
He blocked Robert, determined not to give him any chance, even for such a small task as helping Natalie down the stairs.
Natalie rolled her eyes and followed him down.
The air was fresh, the stars twinkled, and several butlers and servants were approaching quickly.
But as soon as Jagger got down, he froze for a moment.
Because Gabriel was still up there.
He looked at Gabriel, pursed his lips, and smiled at Natalie.
"Ms. Clark, could you come back up and help me push Mr. Kensington down?"
