Chapter 385 Gabriel

Natalie and Kelly found a quiet place to sit and have coffee.

The lounge was indeed quiet, and the staff nearby were cautiously attending to them, worried that the coffee might not be to their liking.

Natalie's eyes scanned the room. "This place doesn't have any fish?"

The staff member paused, "Ms. Clark, this is a mantis shrimp exhibit. Because it's not considered a rare species, there are fewer visitors here. Would you like to take a look?"

Seeing the expectant look in the staff member's eyes, Natalie nodded.

The staff turned off the surrounding lights, and the special materials on the ceiling, floor, and walls immediately emitted a faint blue glow, dim and deep like the ocean. Upon closer inspection, one could see mantis shrimp swimming inside.

The way the mantis shrimp moved was extremely cute. Due to the different species, they varied in size and appearance.

Some were black and white, simple and elegant, with a noble demeanor.

Others were a translucent green with a touch of red, their tails vibrant and captivating, each with unique patterns.

In the deep, boundless sea, they frolicked on the sandy seabed, their segmented bodies moving gracefully.

When the lights went out, Natalie and Kelly felt as if they were in the deep, dark ocean, unable to see through the walls in front of them.

Whether above, below, or beside them, it was all an oceanic environment.

The corridor they had just walked through had become an underwater tunnel.

This immersive scene was instantly awe-inspiring.

Even above them, there were floating seaweeds and corals, and the sound of the dark, surging seawater carried the mystery of the ocean.

With the aid of technology, they could see everything clearly, as if the deep, expansive ocean was right before their eyes.

Kelly couldn't help but exclaim.

The staff immediately began a professional introduction: "Mantis shrimp belong to the order Stomatopoda, originating from the Jurassic period of the Mesozoic era."

Natalie looked on in surprise.

"By the way, we offer the naming rights for pets here. You can choose one you like as a pet, name it, and we will take care of it. You can visit anytime."

How interesting!

Natalie smiled and pointed to a brightly colored, elegant, and adorable mantis shrimp, "I'll take this little one."

"Alright, Ms. Clark, this one is a rare species we acquired at a high price from the Abyssal Trench. What would you like to name it?"

Without hesitation, Natalie said, "Gabriel."

The staff member's hand trembled, almost dropping the expensive remote control.

Kelly couldn't help but laugh, patting her on the shoulder.

"That's a great name!"

At the entrance of the tunnel, Gabriel's eyes darkened, and he lowered his gaze silently.

The sounds inside reached his ears, and he was a bit displeased.

Had he become a mantis shrimp?

Kelly laughed heartily, but her laughter abruptly stopped when she caught a glimpse of a figure out of the corner of her eye.
