Chapter 397 You're Simply Sick

The sofa is spacious enough, and the lighting is good.

Natalie pushed him over without a word, thinking he was being too picky!

"What else do you want?"

Gabriel said, "I can't just sit here. I want to sit over there; it's more comfortable."

He didn't want to sit in the wheelchair.

Natalie paused, frowned, and told him, "I can't lift you."

Unless he wanted to be permanently disabled!

To her, he was just being difficult on purpose!

Gabriel reluctantly supported himself on the wheelchair, making an effort to stand up, putting all his weight on his left leg.

He tried to move bit by bit, but after a few movements, sweat was already forming on his forehead.

Natalie frowned, her brows tightening. Her actions were faster than her reasoning, and she quickly stepped forward to support Gabriel, who was about to fall to the ground.

All his strength was pressed against her, his lean waist taut, breathing heavily.

Turning her head, she saw his apologetic look. The words of reproach circled in her throat but were swallowed back down.

If it weren't for saving her, he wouldn't be like this.

She was being a bit petty!

She could only be his support, his pleasant mint scent invading her mind.

She used all her strength to carefully place him on the sofa, trying hard not to touch his right leg.

After a series of actions, they were both drenched in sweat.

Even though Gabriel's face was pale, his gaze was gentle and soft.

Natalie frowned. "What documents do you want? Just tell me all at once. Which notebook do you need?"

Before she could turn around, Gabriel's hand fell on her wrist.

"None of them. Watch a movie with me."

With his other hand, he picked up the remote control beside him and pressed it lightly. The surrounding lights dimmed, the curtains automatically closed, and the opposite wall turned into a big screen.

Natalie froze for a moment, almost fuming with anger.

So he went through all this trouble just to watch a movie on the sofa?

She turned back and glared at him, "Gabriel, you're simply sick!"

She couldn't stand it anymore.

Gabriel's lazy expression froze, his eyes seemingly innocent.

"I am sick."

Natalie sneered and pulled her hand away.

"Watch it yourself."

Gabriel said, "Watch it together. The doctor said I need to be relaxed and happy to recover quickly!"

Natalie paused. Did the doctor say that?

Gabriel handed her the remote. "You pick the movie."

He remembered that she wasn't satisfied with the horror movie they watched last time.

Natalie took the remote without a word. Fine, she would endure it a bit longer!

The movies here, both the latest releases and upcoming ones, were all available!

Gabriel had some skills, but thinking about it, it was probably another one of his investments.

She thought for a moment, chose an art film, tossed the remote aside, and sat on the other end of the sofa.

The distance between her and Gabriel could fit two or three people.

Gabriel's brows relaxed, a faint smile on his face, but inside, he was already very pleased.

Natalie leaned against the armrest, hugging a pillow. The pillow had a faint, pleasant scent. She lowered her head to read the movie's synopsis.

Dominic played the second male lead in this movie, but he was enough to attract everyone's attention.

She watched intently, but noticing Gabriel's gaze, she couldn't help but glare at him.

"Don't you want to watch?"

Gabriel calmly withdrew his gaze, a hint of guilt flashing by.

He looked directly at the big screen, and as soon as he looked up, he saw Dominic.

Feeling stifled!

He simply closed his eyes, listening to her light breathing.

After more than an hour, Natalie was almost dozing off. When she turned her head, she saw that Gabriel had already fallen asleep. He was leaning on his arm, his brows furrowed, his face pale, but it didn't hide his stern and noble features.

She rolled her eyes speechlessly. He was the one who wanted to watch a movie, and now he was sleeping?

Not in the mood to continue watching, Natalie decided to get a glass of milk. She quietly went downstairs barefoot, making no sound.

Elijah was standing outside. Natalie nodded at him, made a shushing gesture, and went downstairs barefoot.

The lighting downstairs was dim, and probably no one was around.

As she approached the kitchen, she suddenly heard someone talking on the phone in a low voice.

"Yes, the two of them went upstairs after dinner and have been up there for over an hour. Who knows what they're doing?"
