Chapter 201 Natalie is Getting Cocky
Natalie finally felt relieved after sorting everything out. So, when Kelly asked her to go shopping, she was all in.
At the mall, they wandered around and ended up at a car show.
Right in the center was a stunning car, the latest Falconcrest Turbo.
Even Natalie had to stop and admire it.
The design was sleek and organic, absolutely gorgeous. It was probably the first of its kind in the country.
Natalie couldn't resist commenting, "A car as stunning as this one should be parked in my garage."
At that moment, a salesperson took notice of their fashionable attire and identified Natalie from her online prominence.
Given Natalie's reputation for indulging in lavish shopping sprees and effortlessly spending billions, the salesperson saw an opportunity. If he could successfully secure a deal with her, he might not need to work for the remainder of the year!
His eyes lit up, and he eagerly asked, "Ms. Clark, is there anything I can help you with?"
Natalie couldn't resist touching the hood of the Falconcrest Turbo. Just as she was about to say something, she heard a familiar yet slightly different female voice from behind.
"How much is this car? I'll take it."
The voice grabbed Natalie's attention. She turned around and saw Lillian and Angela.
Angela stood next to Lillian, looking much less impressive in comparison. Right now, she was giving Natalie a provocative look, her eyes full of undisguised pride.
Angela wouldn't dare to offend Natalie, but Lillian might.
Natalie wasn't particularly shocked to see them together. Knowing that Lillian was associated with the Kensington Group, it wasn't surprising that she knew Angela. However, Natalie didn't anticipate that they would get along, especially considering Angela's haughty and headstrong demeanor.
"What a surprise!"
"So, it's Ms. Clark?" Lillian remarked.
Lillian glanced at Natalie and gave a polite but distant smile. Their interaction wasn't hostile, but it definitely lacked the warmth of a friendly chat.
"Ms. Garcia likes this car?" Natalie asked.
She hadn't heard that Lillian was into cars.
Lillian smirked, her eyes flickering slightly. "Yes, I wanted to buy it the moment I saw it. I didn't expect you to have your eye on it first."
Angela couldn't help but chime in, "Natalie hasn't paid yet, so everyone still has a chance."
Having been overshadowed by Natalie so many times, Angela didn't want to miss this opportunity. Seeing Natalie lose would be so satisfying!
Lillian's attention shifted to the salesperson, who nervously stuttered, "Yes, Ms. Clark hasn't settled the payment yet."
Something felt off to him, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
Natalie lowered her gaze slightly. If she couldn't sense Lillian's aloofness now, she'd be incredibly oblivious. However, she was certain she hadn't offended Lillian.
Lillian smiled and looked at Natalie. "Ms. Clark, as the host, you wouldn't compete with me, would you?"
This made it impossible for Natalie to refuse! There was no tearing or provocation. It was a balanced competition, a conflict-free battle.
Even Kelly sensed something was off. She shot a concerned glance at Natalie.
Natalie could fight for the car if she wanted it; she would definitely get it. But...
She raised an eyebrow and gestured with her hand. "Of course, I wouldn't do that. Since Ms. Garcia likes this car, you should buy it."
Lillian was slightly taken aback, not expecting Natalie to give up so easily.
The salesperson stepped forward, "Miss, this car is priced at thirty million dollars."
Lillian took out her black card without hesitation, her expression stoic. "Charge it."
Angela couldn't help but clap her hands in delight. "Lillian, you're so cool. This car suits you perfectly!"
Lillian smiled but said nothing.
Natalie and Kelly exchanged a glance and looked at Lillian.
"Ms. Garcia, we still want to browse other places, so we won't accompany you," said Natalie.
Lillian's eyes flickered, asking, "Shall we go together?"
Natalie and Kelly were both surprised.
Why would they go together? Were they that close?
