Chapter 110 She is a Stray Dog

Angela and Wendy outside were momentarily stunned.

"What are you doing here?" Angela asked in surprise.

Didn't the Clark Group kick out Natalie?

Wendy was also slightly shocked but quickly masked it with a composed smile. "You must be trying to make a last-ditch effort, Natalie. I advise you to quit while you're ahead. Wealthy families don't have a habit of taking in trash, especially when you've already been abandoned once."

Angela felt emboldened, too. "Yes. Are you here to cause trouble? Too bad no one's going to help you. The Clark family doesn't want you anymore, Natalie. You've lost your support."

Natalie lowered her head and smiled, her lazy gaze sweeping over them briefly before she walked out without saying a word.

Angela stood in the doorway and didn't intend to step aside as Natalie passed by.

Natalie walked straight into her, causing Angela to stumble and lean against the wall. Just as she was about to curse, she was startled into silence by Natalie's cold, dark eyes.

Angela rubbed her sore shoulder, grimacing as she watched Natalie walk away. "She's a stray dog now, yet she's still so arrogant? Just wait. Trouble's coming her way soon!"

At the center of the banquet hall, Ulysses and Victor were calmly mingling with the guests. Though no longer directly managing the company's day-to-day operations, Ulysses still looked youthful and fit in his fifties, standing beside Victor like brothers.

"Hello, Mr. Ulysses Clark," Blair called out.

"Mr. Kensington, what an honor!" Ulysses shook his hand, exchanging polite but cold pleasantries.

Gabriel slightly bowed. "Hello, Mr. Ulysses Clark."

"Hello," Ulysses responded with a few unfriendly laughs.

Gabriel was momentarily taken aback but quickly recovered. Despite their frequent business interactions, personal relationships were another matter. Ulysses' sudden coldness made Gabriel suspicious.

Blair didn't notice this and continued chatting with Ulysses while Victor smirked and raised his glass towards Alyssa, who was standing next to Gabriel.

He said, "Mr. Kensington, no wonder the other members of your family cause trouble foryour ex-wife so relentlessly. It seems are about to have some good news. Which family's daughter is this young lady from to make Mr. Kensington so devoted?"

Gabriel finally caught Victor's sarcasm, his brow furrowing slightly and his expression turning cold. He didn't like others prying into his matters, especially given the ongoing rumors between Victor and Natalie.

He thought, 'Is Victor standing up for Natalie?

Gabriel's expression remained indifferent, and Alyssa eagerly introduced herself, "I grew up abroad. My uncle is the chairman of NexTech Solutions."

Victor nodded politely and said, "I see."

"Mr. Victor Clark, do you know my uncle?" Alyssa's eyes lit up.

Victor's smile was cold and condescending. "I don't know him, never heard of him."

Alyssa stiffened her smile, feeling awkward and embarrassed. Although Victor didn't say more, she sensed his disdain.

But no matter what, she was better off than Natalie, who had nothing. With that thought, Alyssa no longer cared about Victor's attitude.

"But you two do make a good match," Victor added. Alyssa lowered her head, blushing, while Gabriel's face turned icy.

"Mr. Victor Clark, are you very interested in my personal affairs?" Gabriel's expression darkened. Victor calmly smiled and pursed his lips. "Perhaps."

Before he could say more, Angela came running over, lifting her dress. "Alyssa!"

Gabriel's face darkened. "Don't be so rude."

Angela immediately straightened up and cautiously whispered something in Alyssa's ear. Alyssa's face lit up, and she ran off, hand in hand with Angela, forgetting to say goodbye.

Gabriel narrowed his eyes, showing a hint of displeasure.

Victor remained indifferent, while Ulysses smiled and then remarked, "Mrs. Kensington is certainly lively. Your home must be very lively."

Blair smiled and replied, "She's spoiled and unruly, too mischievous. I'm sorry Mr. Ulysses Clark."

Ulysses sighed regretfully. "It's a pity my son is busier than I am with work. I hardly ever see him."

"Daughters are more considerate. If Mr. Clark had a daughter, perhaps we could have arranged a marriage and become one family," Ulysses added.
