Chapter 82 It’s Better to Beat With Your Own Hands

Jessica was in a state of shock. Then she looked up in astonishment, glaring at Natalie with anger.

Her voice was sharp and harsh. “Natalie, are you crazy?"

The two socialites next to her were also somewhat angry at Natalie's actions and immediately wanted to help Jessica.

"Natalie, do you even belong here?"

"Exactly, you're not welcome here. I'll call security right now to have you thrown out!"

Natalie didn't even want to respond to these two fools, and her gaze was coldly fixed on Jessica. "Didn't you think about what would happen when you were slandering me behind my back?"

Jessica was defiant. "Who slandered you? Everyone knows what you've done."

Natalie smirked, grabbed Jessica's arm, and pushed her back. As Jessica was about to struggle, Natalie put an arm across her neck and said in her icy voice, "Jessica, if you did it, you should own up to it. As a return gift, I've prepared something special for you."

Jessica saw disdain in Natalie’s eyes, and her lips were trembling. Her voice lowered. "A voice recording with the chairman of Fenden Group doesn't prove anything. Everyone encounters such things. You can't take me down, Natalie. You'll never get rid of me as your rival!"

Natalie withdrew her gaze and raised an eyebrow. "Really? But you're not worthy of being my rival."

Just as she finished, a commotion erupted in the banquet hall.

"Isn't that Jessica?"

"That's the manager of Clark Group. She's been in our circle recently..."

"And who is that? That's Derek! Ms. Reynolds, isn't that your husband?"

The voices from outside came intermittently, and Jessica's expression turned extremely terrible and filled with panic. "What did you do?"

"Who said I only had the voice recording?" Natalie stepped back. "Go check out your gift."

Jessica hurriedly ran out, but before she could steady herself, a woman slapped her on the face.

"You slut, how dare you seduce my husband? You bitch, you incited me to spread rumors about Natalie, and now you're ruining my family. I'm going to beat you up today!"

A woman dressed in luxurious attire and with a voice that could carry far angrily started hitting her with no one around to intervene.

Natalie smiled. She had just seen Derek's wife upon arriving, and she indeed had the fiery temper she was known for.

Jessica didn't dare to fight back, covered her face, and cried in embarrassment.

On the large screen, projecting the starry sky above everyone's heads, a video clip was playing, showing Jessica and Derek making love in a car.

People around started to gather and watch.

Natalie smiled and turned to look at the two socialites behind her, who were now in shock. "Now it's your turn."

They felt guilty. They had just realized that Jessica wasn't a good woman, but Natalie wasn't either. Even so, they weren't afraid of Natalie.

"What do you want to do? Where's security? It doesn't mean you're a good woman just because Jessica wronged you."

"Whether I'm a good woman or not, it's not up to you to gossip behind my back. Didn't your families teach you basic manners?" Natalie looked at them with a half-smile.

"What right do you have to lecture us? Where's security?" One of them started shouting impatiently.

Coincidentally, a figure walked over from not far away with handsome features and a faint smile on his lips. "Why do you call security?"

"Mr. Walker? This woman insulted us. She was just arguing with Jessica. You have to protect us," another woman said.

They assumed that Charlie, as rich as they did, would side with them.

Charlie glanced at them and said with indifference, "You deserved it."

Then he reached out to hold Natalie's hand, looked at it, and complained with a hint of grievance, "Why didn't you call me? Why did you do it with your own hands when you need to beat someone up?"
