Chapter 407 Angela

Natalie sat on the second-floor balcony, soaking in the sunset, with a cup of tea quietly placed beside her.

She had just closed her eyes for a moment when she heard someone approaching, trying to be quiet.

She frowned, "Jagger?"

"Ms. Clark, you've got some sharp senses. You knew it was me without even looking. You're always so calm and collected, not like most women. No wonder you're Ms. Clark. I brought you some fruit. Did you enjoy dinner tonight?"

Jagger's tone shifted, sounding a bit anxious as he nervously rubbed his hands together.

"The meals were prepared under Mr. Kensington's instructions. I hope they suited your taste. It's my first day on the job, and I can't afford to lose it over the food. I have a first-class chef certification, you know."

Natalie's smile froze slightly.

Gabriel's instructions?

The dishes she liked, which she thought were a coincidence, were ordered by him.

How did he know?

Natalie suddenly felt a bit uneasy.

The more effort Gabriel put into her, the more uncomfortable she felt.

But she quickly regained her composure.

"I'm not picky. Whatever you cook is fine."

After all, she didn't eat much anyway. If she didn't want to eat, she could always go back to the Clark Villa.

Jagger wanted to say more, but Natalie put down her things and took a deep breath.

"I almost forgot, I have plans to go shopping with friends. I'll be back later. Jagger, remember to leave the door open."

"Shopping? Do you need me to carry your bags?"

Jagger eagerly offered, hoping to gain Ms. Clark's trust, which would surely make things easier for him.

Natalie couldn't help but smile wryly.

"No need, Elijah will be with me."

At the mall.

Kelly and Mia were sitting in the lounge area, getting massages while waiting for Natalie.

Natalie looked at the two women and chuckled.

"Shopping in the evening? You two are busy, huh?"

Mia rolled her eyes at her, "We're just trying to add some fun to your long nights. Otherwise, facing Gabriel day and night, you might rekindle old feelings!"

Kelly nodded in agreement, "I heard Wendy's in the hospital?"

Natalie raised an eyebrow and sat down beside them.

"You two sure have your sources..."

Elijah wisely kept his distance, staying alert to ensure Natalie was within his protective range.

Kelly and Mia grabbed their bags and pulled them along to start shopping.

"Of course we do! The hospital director is my uncle. I heard she was covered in blood when she was brought in and woke up, cursing you. But strangely, no one from the Kensington family has visited or even mentioned it."

Kelly looked at her, "Does it have anything to do with you?"

Natalie chuckled, her eyes cold.

"She deserved it. That knife was meant for me, but Elijah blocked it."

Kelly and Mia were momentarily silent.

Kelly linked arms with her, "Let's not talk about that. You're staying with Gabriel to take care of him. He hasn't taken advantage of the situation, has he?"

"He's just a cripple now. How could he have the chance?"

"That's good. One thing at a time. Even though we don't support you two getting back together, Gabriel did do a good thing this time!"

Natalie lowered her gaze and smiled. Mia, beside her, tugged at her arm, her voice full of surprise.

"Look over there. Do you see who that is?"

Following her direction, they saw Angela, dressed in work clothes, kneeling on the ground, helping a customer put on shoes.

The three of them were stunned.
