"By the way, the best way to squash rumors is with facts. If there's no other way, let your old flame handle it."
"What?" Natalie looked up, puzzled.
What old flame?
"Sunner. Once he steps in, everything will be sorted."
After all, no one would believe the genius Sunner would plagiarize.
Natalie rolled her eyes.
She called Aaron to see Nathan out.
Once Nathan was outside the Clark Group, he pulled out his phone and made a call. "I've told Natalie, Gabriel. This is serious. Why didn't you come and tell her yourself?"
Gabriel on the other end didn't answer right away.
The sound of a lighter flicking came through the phone.
After a few seconds, he finally spoke, "She hates me. She wouldn't want to see me."
His voice was cold and distant.
As soon as Nathan left, Natalie had someone look into the subsidiary's activities.
