Chapter 450 She Wants to Hit Someone

The photo was captured on a damp, drizzly day.

Neither of them had an umbrella, so their hair and clothes were misted with fine droplets.

The scenery was a bit blurry, but the two people in the picture stood out clearly.

As Jagger stepped away, a gap formed between them.

Standing on either side, their contrasting auras—one dignified and aloof, the other radiant and lively—created a harmonious and beautiful scene as they exchanged smiles.

"Not bad, huh?"

Robert glanced over and gave a brief nod. "Yeah, not bad."

Maybe it was because they were both so good-looking that even a casual snapshot turned into a picturesque moment.

Natalie sent the photo to her phone and, realizing she hadn't posted anything in a while, decided to share it with a caption: "A day to remember!"

She noticed Kelly and Mia had liked it, and then Leo too.

She put her phone away with a wry smile and handed Elijah's phone back to him.

Elijah took his phone without a word and returned to his original spot.

It was just a small moment, quickly forgotten, except when Jagger tried to squeeze back between the two, Elijah firmly held him back.

"I want to go over there, let me go!"

Jagger wriggled his chubby body, trying to use his weight to break free.

But Elijah easily gripped his arm, keeping him in place.

"Don't go."

His tone was cold and simple.

"Why not?"

Jagger was puzzled.

Elijah's voice remained indifferent, his expression blank. "Because I don't want to see that scene again."

As a bodyguard trailing behind, watching Jagger intrude on their moment was torturous.

Jagger rolled his eyes and stomped his feet in frustration. "Are we even friends anymore?"

Elijah gave him a surprised look.

"Of course not!"

Natalie and Robert strolled out of the university, drawing the attention of many passing students.

Both Robert and Natalie, with their striking looks and graceful demeanor, attracted all eyes.

"Jagger was sent by Mr. Kensington? Seems like Mr. Kensington is thoughtful about Ms. Clark."

Robert's voice was so calm it sounded almost emotionless, as if he were merely making an observation.

Natalie raised an eyebrow.

"My dad asked him to come along, probably worried I couldn't handle things on my own."

Robert chuckled. "Mr. Clark is very considerate. It's a pity Mr. Kensington's planned trip got spoiled by the rain."

"Because of the rain, he even got sick. I think this trip will likely end early."

Natalie spoke nonchalantly.

Robert raised an eyebrow. "Not necessarily. I think Mr. Kensington is trying to create opportunities for you two."

"His efforts are wasted. As long as my dad appreciates it, that's enough."

Natalie's voice was detached, clearly distinguishing between gratitude and affection.

At least for now, her feelings for Gabriel were more about gratitude and guilt.

She hoped those long-buried emotions would never resurface.

Robert bringing up the topic didn't bother her much, probably because of their brief encounter three years ago, their recent interactions, and Ian's involvement.

"Sorry for bringing up something that upsets you." Robert's voice was gentle, like the misty rain.

Natalie smiled. "It's fine. He exists whether you mention him or not."

Robert stared at her profile for a long moment before speaking again.

"Forgive me for being forward, but I have a question. If you don't want to answer, you don't have to."

Natalie raised an eyebrow. "No need to be so formal, Mr. Williams. Go ahead."

"Ms. Clark, do you still have feelings for Mr. Kensington?"

Robert's question was direct, and he genuinely wanted to know the answer.

It was a question everyone was curious about.

Natalie's jaw tightened slightly, and she remained silent, her gaze darkening.
