Chapter 371 You Will Scare Her
Natalie took it with surprise and delight; it was exactly the dessert she liked.
"Thanks, Mike, take care on the way."
Mike waved his hand, "Goodbye, Natalie!"
Starshadow ran over, wagging its tail.
"Goodbye, Mike!"
In the car.
Mike proudly lifted his head. "Isn't Natalie beautiful?"
The maid couldn't help but nod, "Beautiful, more beautiful than those women trying to get close to your daddy, so you need to be on guard!"
Mike's blue eyes sparkled as he solemnly nodded.
Of course, he needed to be on guard.
The bodyguard sat in the front, feeling aggrieved.
"I was supposed to go, I didn't even get to see her."
The maid rolled her eyes at him.
"You would have scared Natalie!"
Mike nodded in agreement, "Exactly!"
The fierce-looking bodyguard shrank back even more, feeling wronged.
Mike thought for a moment, frowning in contemplation, his delicate and pretty face showing rare confusion.
"We can't give the same gift again, we need to think about what to give next time!"
The bodyguard muttered, "I was the one who thought of that gift."
Back at the hotel.
Mike lazily wanted to go back to sleep, but was picked up by Robert.
"I heard you didn't turn in your homework to Valoria's teacher?"
His voice had a unique coolness to it.
Mike clung to his leg, whining and rubbing his head against Robert's long legs.
"Daddy, I want to pursue Natalie!"
"How are you pursuing her?"
"Buying gifts!"
Under Robert's gaze, he proudly listed the gifts he had bought.
Especially when he mentioned the chrysanthemums and the thick gold bracelet.
Robert's expression turned into a strange smile, as if suppressing some emotion, and his earlier anger completely vanished.
"Good luck!"
He even affectionately patted Mike's fluffy head.
The fact that Natalie hadn't driven Mike away yet showed she was truly a kind woman.
Just as Robert was about to turn around, Mike asked, "Can I invite Natalie to your dinner party?"
Robert frowned, suddenly realizing it must be the business banquet he was planning.
His invitation list had fewer than five people.
It showed how meticulously he had considered it.
"Do as you like."
Robert said indifferently.
If it were anyone else, he wouldn't allow it, but she happened to be that woman from three years ago.
That made it a different matter.
This project was attracting worldwide attention, requiring a lot of manpower, resources, and even connections; lacking any one of these would be disastrous.
Therefore, his every move was extremely secretive, and even his whereabouts were confidential.
But there were too many capable people domestically, like Gabriel, who held a significant position in the business world.
He could potentially be one of his partners.
The Clark Group's conditions were on par with the Kensington Group, but it wasn't in his consideration, mainly because Walter had repeatedly mentioned the Clark Group.
Robert extremely disliked people around him overstepping their boundaries and meddling in company affairs.
If Walter crossed his line, he wouldn't care if he had been with him for over a decade!
For several days in a row, Robert ignored invitations from the Clark Group.
Natalie had been very agitated recently; she didn't want to accept Gabriel's invitation to be his date at Robert's business banquet.
Yet he kept showing up, saying he was willing to compete fairly with the Clark Group.
But she couldn't even get an invitation; what was there to compete with?
