Chapter 387 She's Scared
Natalie and Kelly left the aquarium with Mike, one after the other.
Gabriel followed behind, "Do you want to get something to eat?"
Natalie, Kelly, and Mike all turned around and said in unison, "No!"
Gabriel smiled.
Natalie hurried ahead to get the car, quickening her pace to avoid Gabriel catching up.
But no one noticed a semi-new car parked a few dozen feet away, waiting for the right moment.
As soon as Natalie appeared, the car sped towards her like a bullet.
Kelly, who was behind, shouted in shock, "Natalie!"
In the next second, a dark figure rushed out, and a tremendous force pushed Natalie away.
In a split second, there was a loud crash, and someone rolled to the ground.
The car crashed straight into a large tree nearby, with smoke rising from the hood.
The surroundings fell silent.
Then came Mike's frightened and anxious cry.
"Natalie!"
Natalie was pushed onto the opposite lawn, her arm in severe pain, her chest pounding violently.
She hadn't even had time to react, only feeling a tremendous force pushing her away, followed by the sound of the car crash.
She turned around, her face pale as a sheet.
She saw Gabriel lying in the middle of the road, covered in blood. Just a moment ago, he had been smiling warmly, inviting her to lunch.
At that moment, her heart felt like it was being torn apart.
Kelly quickly ran over, panicking, "Call an ambulance!"
She looked at Natalie with concern, "Are you hurt?"
It felt like a circle had formed around her, and she couldn't hear anyone's voice.
Mike immediately took out his smartwatch, his delicate face trying to stay calm, making a call, but his voice betrayed his panic and tears.
Natalie, as if possessed, walked over and knelt beside Gabriel, staring at him blankly.
His clothes were covered in dirt, and even his hair was a mess.
His handsome face was deathly pale, his lips tightly pressed together, and the calm, cold expression from before was gone.
Around him, there was blood everywhere.
Natalie's heart felt like it was being tightly wound by a thin thread, slowly tightening until it drew blood.
Even breathing became difficult.
He had saved her again.
Kelly frantically grabbed her, "Natalie, don't scare me!"
She was afraid something would happen to Natalie.
Natalie suddenly calmed down, took out her phone, the screen cracked, but still usable.
She called Aaron, asking him to contact the hospital and doctors.
She called Brad, telling him to be prepared.
She called Robert, asking him to send someone to pick up Mike.
Finally, she called the police.
She looked at Kelly, "Wait here for the police. Keep an eye on that person, dead or alive."
Her voice was chillingly cold when she said this.
Kelly nodded heavily.
In less than five minutes, the ambulance arrived.
At the hospital.
She had never felt time pass so slowly and painfully.
It seemed like every second drained her patience.
She sat there, quietly hanging her head, until Brad handed her a tissue.
"Ms. Clark, stop crying."
He spoke with difficulty, not knowing what to think.
Only then did Natalie realize that she had been crying uncontrollably.
She couldn't hold back any longer, her shoulders shaking violently, her head hanging low, sobbing.
Fear and terror washed over her in waves. She admitted that she was scared.
What she feared most was Gabriel dying.
Suddenly, the doctor from the operating room pushed the door open.
