Chapter 63 Bullying her

The conference room was enveloped in an eerie silence. Not a soul dared to utter a word for a full minute! Derek's face drained of color. Natalie's words had taken him by surprise. As he opened his mouth to defend himself, "I didn't mean to..."

Natalie immediately cut him off.

"I believe you all received the notification this morning that Mr. Clark is absent, and I am overseeing the company's affairs. This project falls under my jurisdiction. Anyone unwilling to participate should tender their resignation forthwith. The deputy will assume the vacated position, and I will personally explain the situation to Mr. Clark!"

Her words sent a shockwave through the room. The silence that followed was deafening. Everyone present had worked tirelessly to earn their positions, and the deputies were eager to climb the corporate ladder. No one dared to act recklessly under the circumstances. Despite their reservations about Natalie, it was clear from day one that Victor was in her corner. They quickly regretted their decision to follow Derek's lead in attempting to humiliate Natalie.

The atmosphere in the room was tense and chilly. No one dared to break the silence. Derek was crestfallen. No one had the audacity to challenge Natalie further.

"Manager of the Planning Department, can you present the plans today?" Natalie's question broke the silence.

Sam Wilson, the man addressed, looked up, startled. "Yes, Ms. Clark. The Planning Department will convene a meeting immediately to devise the best plan in the shortest time possible, ensuring no delay in the project!"

Everyone was acutely aware of the tense atmosphere. They knew they had to comply with Natalie's instructions or risk losing their jobs. Natalie nodded in satisfaction, her tone softening as she addressed the others. "What about the other departments?"

"We will return to our desks immediately to strategize, and we will not let the company down!"

"Yes, we will do the same."

"Of course, we are ready."

The room filled with murmurs of agreement. The atmosphere lightened slightly. Natalie's stern demeanor softened, and she resumed her gentle smile and tone, engaging in the discussion. They were not caught off guard; in fact, everyone was well-prepared. As leaders of a large corporation, they were all competent and exceptional.

Derek and Jessica, who were intentionally overlooked, wore grim expressions. Natalie was indifferent; they were unlikely to cause significant trouble. As the meeting drew to a close, Natalie glanced at the clock.

"Although the core research team is at Zorblax Group this time, we also need to be prepared. I have already discussed with Mr. Lewis of Zorblax Group. Although we cannot participate in the core technology development, he has agreed for us to send two researchers to participate in the later stages of the research. We must provide the best support for these two staff members, but they must be reliable. You can start looking for candidates now, and HR should pay more attention."

Natalie was pleased with the outcome of the meeting. At the end, everyone lingered, attempting to build a rapport with her.

Natalie responded warmly to each one. Her radiant smile was a stark contrast to her stern demeanor earlier.

Aaron rushed over and whispered in her ear, "Ms. Clark, Mr. Kensington from Kensington Group is here." Natalie raised an eyebrow. Blair was more impatient than she had anticipated. As the chairman of Kensington Group, she couldn't afford to ignore him. Natalie nodded and excused herself.

"Is he waiting in the conference room?" Natalie inquired. Aaron shook his head, "He went straight to your office." Natalie was taken aback but quickly understood. His objective was undoubtedly the emerald ring in her possession.

She chuckled softly, pushed the door open, and walked in, only to find not only Blair but also Angela. "You are rude. Why didn't you knock before entering?" Blair sat upright on the sofa, staring coldly at the her. What? She had just been bullied. What was happening now?

"Mr. Kensington, I never knock when entering my office."
