Chapter 103 Do You Still Want to Reconcile with Her
On the way back from the coffee shop, Catherine couldn't shake off her worries. When Edward finished work, she immediately headed to the estate with him.
After Donovan finished work, he first picked up Finley. As soon as he entered the house, he saw his parents sitting on the sofa with serious expressions, clearly having something to say.
“Dad, Mom, why didn't you tell me you were coming over? What's going on?” Donovan asked, puzzled.

Seeing his mother looking stern, Donovan furrowed his brows slightly, then turned to Auntie Cole, handing Finley over and asking her to take her upstairs first.
Auntie Cole nodded, and Finley obediently greeted his grandparents before following Auntie Cole upstairs.
Donovan sat down on the single sofa next to his parents. “What's the matter that made you come over so late?”
“Has Riley returned?” Catherine cut to the chase.
Upon hearing this, Donovan's eyes darkened slightly as he admitted frankly, “Yes, we have met.”
Catherine, unsurprised, snorted and continued to inquire, “Why didn't you tell us? Don't tell me you want to reconcile with her!”
Donovan's brow furrowed deeper, and he didn't answer immediately.
Seeing Donovan's silence, Catherine's heart tightened. “Regardless of your opinion, I won't agree to let that woman back into our home! Back then, she left without a word, abandoning even her child. Now she wants to come back. I will never allow it! If she does come back, what if the same thing happens again? Can you handle it? Finley is so grown up now. Can she handle it?”
After Catherine finished speaking, she waited for her son to respond, but he remained silent.
Catherine's expression changed slightly, and she patiently advised while mentioning Finley.
“Think carefully about how Finley has been living all these years. That child has been weak since childhood. Do you know why? If that woman had taken care of her for a while after giving birth and then sent her back, I wouldn't say anything. But she just abandoned Finley like that, causing Finley's health to suffer. Luckily, we had enough money to put in a lot of effort to restore Finley's health.

After Catherine finished speaking and saw Donovan, who still had no reaction, she anxiously looked at Edward.
Catherine deliberately brought Edward along because his words were more effective than hers.
Edward also felt sorry for his granddaughter. Upon hearing his wife's words, he echoed with heartfelt earnestness, “Your mother is right. I won't interfere with anything else, but I can't trust she can take good care of Finley. Think about it carefully.”
Upon hearing his father's words, Donovan finally reacted, meeting their gaze.
Catherine thought Donovan had taken it in, breathed a sigh of relief, and then remembered Hollis's distressed look in the afternoon.
