Chapter 276 Won't Let Hollis Go
Zoey asked the parents in the group chat for updates.
Everyone said they hadn't found anything.
Since Finley was Donovan's treasure, everyone was giving it their all. But the dense forest around the botanical garden was intimidating, and no one dared to go deep.
Donovan read the replies but found no news about Riley, making him frown.
He hadn't contacted Riley since they left the botanical garden.
He wondered how she was doing.
It was getting dark, and Donovan worried about Riley continuing the search.
With this in mind, Donovan called Riley.
But after dialing a few times, the call wouldn't go through.
Donovan's expression darkened.
Paxton arrived with his team. "Mr. Wilder, our people have spread out into the forest to search."
Donovan nodded and coldly instructed, "Search through the night if you have to. We must find Finley as soon as possible."
Paxton acknowledged the order.
Donovan glanced at his phone, furrowed his brow, and added, "I'm going back to the botanical garden. Stay in touch."
With that, he headed towards the botanical garden.
If Riley hadn't returned, he wondered if anyone was watching the two little ones.
If Finley wasn't found and something happened to the two little ones, he couldn't imagine how guilty Riley would feel.
Back at the botanical garden, he didn't see the two little ones.
Donovan's heart sank as he turned and strode back to the hotel.
He hoped they were waiting at the hotel.
Seeing the two little ones in the room, Donovan let out a long sigh of relief.
"Uncle, has Finley been found?" Winston asked anxiously.
Donovan shook his head. "We're still looking. Where's your mommy? Did she bring you back?"
Winston looked worried. "Mommy went back out to look for Finley after she brought us back and didn't even eat dinner. She said Finley got lost because she was looking for us."
Winston looked at Donovan in confusion. "Did Finley really go looking for us?"
If that were true, he would feel very guilty.
At noon, Finley wanted to go with them, but he had urged his mommy to leave quickly.
Donovan's eyes turned cold. "No, this has nothing to do with you two. Stay in the room and don't open the door for anyone unless it's Finley."
The two little ones agreed and watched him leave.
For some reason, their daddy seemed even angrier than when he came in.
As Donovan left the room, Winston's words echoed in his ears.
Riley said Finley got lost because she was looking for her.
The only one who would say that was Hollis!
Hollis had upset Finley and failed to keep an eye on her, yet she blamed Riley in the end!
Seeing the two little ones, he could imagine how guilty Riley felt because of that statement, to the point where she skipped dinner and went out to search for Finley through the night.
Donovan's mood worsened at the thought.
Earlier, when he called Riley, it showed she was out of the service area, which meant she had likely ventured into the forest herself!
He had tolerated Hollis long enough!
This time, if anything happened to Riley or Finley, he would never forgive Hollis!
