Chapter 334 Seeking Justice for You

Hollis couldn't even look her in the eye, just bit her lip and nodded.

Catherine suddenly jumped up. "Alright, let's get you checked out."

She was about to open the door to call Donovan. Hollis grabbed her hand quickly. "Auntie, let's not tell Donovan. It took a lot for us to patch things up. If you push him, it might blow up in our faces."

Catherine thought for a moment and nodded. Hollis had a point.

Hollis got out of bed, leaning on Catherine as they left the room. Donovan stood up, ready to follow, but Catherine shot him a look. "I'm taking Hollis for a walk. Go do your thing. I don't expect you to be her nurse."

Donovan shrugged, not in the mood to argue. He'd been looking after Hollis like it was a chore. Catherine's words were a relief. He nodded and sat back down.

Catherine took Hollis to the orthopedics department to see her doctor. The results made Catherine's face go pale.

"Ms. Sutton, did you hurt your arm again? It looks worse," the doctor said, frowning at the X-rays.

Hollis was about to speak, but Catherine cut in, "Could she have hurt herself like this by accident?"

The doctor shook his head. "No way. This kind of injury looks like someone did it."

In other words, Hollis had been lying.

Catherine's face tightened as she turned to Hollis. "Hollis, what really happened? Who did this to you?"

Hollis looked conflicted. Catherine stared her down. "There are cameras everywhere. If you don't tell me, I'll check the footage. Your injury was from saving me. Whoever hurt you is hurting me. Just tell me, I won't let it slide!"

Hearing this, Hollis felt a twisted satisfaction. She had suffered a lot to get here, but it was worth it.

Meeting Catherine's gaze, Hollis looked pained. "It was Ms. Monroe. She accidentally pushed me, and I hit the wall. But she was in a rush with the kids, so I get it. My arm didn't hurt at first, so I thought it was nothing."

Catherine's face grew darker. Riley again! First, she seduced Donovan, and now she made Hollis's injury worse! Even now, Hollis was defending Riley!

Knowing the culprit, Catherine understood why Hollis didn't want Donovan to know. She feared Donovan's heart was still with Riley and that he'd blame Hollis instead!

Understanding Hollis's worries, Catherine felt a deep pain. "Don't worry, I'll get justice for you!"

With that, Catherine was about to leave the room. Hollis quickly followed. "Auntie, you misunderstood. It really was an accident. Ms. Monroe wanted to take me for a check-up, but I said it was nothing, so she left."

Catherine, always biased against Riley, wouldn't believe it. She thought Hollis was too kind. She turned back and patted Hollis's hand. "Don't say anything more. Your arm needs rest. Go back and rest. I'll see you tomorrow."

With that, Catherine strode away. Watching her leave, a trace of malice flashed in Hollis's eyes.
