Chapter 275 Quickly Found Her

Catherine was on the couch watching TV when she heard the news. Her face went pale. "What did you say?!"

Hollis, trying to sound more guilty, said, "It's my fault. I lost track of Finley, and she wandered off."

"How long has she been gone? Did you call the police? Where are you? I'll send someone right away!" Catherine was ready to rush over.

Her precious granddaughter, missing just like that!

Hollis replied quietly, "We're searching and have already called the police. Please don't worry."

Catherine, clearly upset, snapped, "How can I not worry? It's getting dark! Finley's just a little girl; she must be terrified! I need to tell Edward to send help!"

Hollis agreed. More people meant more hope.

After hanging up, Hollis hurried out to continue the search.

Catherine called Donovan for an update.

Donovan, tracking Finley's steps along a mountain path, saw his mom's call and frowned.

"Any news on Finley?" Catherine's voice came through as soon as he answered.

Donovan's frown deepened. "Who told you?"

Catherine, annoyed, said, "This is serious, and you didn't tell me? Where are you? I'll send help!"

Donovan sighed. "No need, Paxton's already on it."

Catherine wanted to go herself but Donovan stopped her. "It's remote here. If you come, you have to wait at the hotel. Don't bother to come. I'll call as soon as we find her."

Catherine reluctantly agreed. "Find Finley fast. Call me the moment you do!"

Donovan agreed and hung up, still frowning.

Meanwhile, as it got darker, Riley grew more anxious but had to return to the botanical garden entrance where the two little ones were waiting.

"Mommy!" they ran up as soon as they saw her. "Did you find Finley?"

Riley forced a smile. "Not yet. I'll take you back first, then go out again."

She patted their heads and led them to the hotel.

On the way, Winston looked at the darkening sky, worried. "It's getting dark. Finley must be scared."

Landon, also worried, stayed quiet to avoid stressing Mommy more.

Riley, feeling heavy-hearted, said, "I'll find her soon."

After getting the kids to the hotel, Riley grabbed a flashlight and was about to head out again.

Landon tugged her sleeve. "Mommy, eat first, or you won't have energy."

Riley, looking grim, shook her head. "I can't eat. I need to find Finley. She got lost looking for me..."

The kids looked confused. "Mommy, what do you mean? We've been together. How is it your fault?"

Riley quickly covered up. "It's nothing. Be good and stay inside. I'm leaving now."

She patted their heads and headed for the elevator.
