Chapter 374 Don't Pity Her

On the flip side, Mia thought she did something good, but Dalton and Daniel tore into her and even kicked her out of the Benedict Group's business. The more she mulled it over, the madder she got.

Watching Daniel and Dalton head upstairs, Mia sat in the living room, stewing for a bit, occasionally snapping at the servants. But that didn't help, so she finally called Hollis.

"Hollis, where are you?" Mia asked, frustration clear in her voice.

Hollis was lying in the hospital with Catherine by her side. She lowered the phone volume and said, "At the hospital, what's up?"

"Still not out yet?" Mia asked, sounding worried.

Mia knew Hollis was in the hospital for saving Catherine and had visited her often. She didn't expect the injury to be so severe that she still hadn't been discharged.

Hearing this, Hollis glanced at Catherine and muttered, "I'm feeling a lot better and want to leave, but Mrs. Wilder is still worried about me."

Catherine gave her a helpless look. Hollis met her gaze and smiled playfully.

"Mrs. Wilder's right to care about you. You got hurt saving her, and you're her future daughter-in-law. If she doesn't care, who will?" Mia laughed but then got serious. "I'll come see you later, wait for me!"

Hollis agreed. After hanging up, Catherine handed a peeled orange to Hollis.

Hollis took it and looked at Catherine helplessly. She pouted, "Mrs. Wilder, I'm really fine now. You don't have to take such good care of me. It makes me feel uneasy."

Catherine disagreed, "Your injury is serious. Stay in the hospital and rest! Besides, you got hurt because of me. If I don't take care of you, I would feel uneasy!"

Seeing her insist, Hollis smiled obediently and ate the orange.

Catherine, happy with her compliance, nodded and teased, "When you marry into our Wilder family, we'll have plenty of time to take care of each other!"

Hollis blushed and glanced at Catherine shyly. She muttered, "Mrs. Wilder, Donovan's attitude isn't clear yet. Please don't say that."

Catherine's expression turned stern. She replied, "Why cares about his attitude? I make the decisions. Riley will soon be driven out of H City by me. Donovan will definitely marry you."

Hollis pretended not to understand. "Why do you say that?"

"I've already warned all the herbal medicine suppliers in H City not to cooperate with Riley. If she has any sense, she should know that H City doesn't welcome her!" Catherine responded coldly.

As someone from the Sutton Group, the largest herbal medicine supplier in H City, Hollis was well aware of Catherine's methods. Hearing this, she felt a surge of satisfaction but kept a concerned look. She hesitated, "Mrs. Wilder, isn't that too harsh on Ms. Monroe? What if the research institute finds out it's because of her..."

"Don't pity her. She brought this on herself by wronging my family and daring to return to H City!" Catherine reassured Hollis with a pat on the shoulder.

Hollis smiled faintly and fell silent.

"Who called you just now?" Catherine asked.

Hollis answered obediently, "It was Mia. She said she's coming to see me."

Catherine stood up and said to Hollis, "Since you have a visitor, I won't disturb you. Call me if you need anything."

With that, Catherine turned and left Hollis' ward.
