Chapter 71 Humiliated
The Sutton Family Group.
Due to that virus, the company was almost at a standstill all morning.
Hollis had been in the tech department, occasionally erupting in anger.
"Chairman Sutton." Beck's voice sounded in her ear.
Upon hearing this, Hollis quickly composed herself and lowered her gaze to greet the person coming in at the door, "Dad, why are you here?"
William Sutton's face was serious. "What's going on? Haven't you resolved that virus yet?"
The head of the tech department had been scolded by Hollis all morning, sweating profusely now, nodding and apologizing, "Chairman Sutton, our team really did their best, but this virus is just too powerful. Every time we're close to cracking it, a new challenge arises. It's like a never-ending loop."
"So, you're saying you can't handle it?" William furrowed his brow, pressing for an answer.
The head of the department nodded nervously.
"Useless!" William scolded, then turned to Hollis, "In that case, we need to contact Donovan's team as soon as possible to see if they can help."
The Wilder Corporation has many top talents, with a network system that was globally top-notch, not to mention a computer genius ranked second globally. If even they couldn't solve the Sutton Family Group's problem, then there really was no solution.
"No!" Hollis almost immediately refused.
After speaking, she looked at the screen with a look of embarrassment. If they were to bring in the Wilder Corporation's people to solve this, Donovan would definitely see all of this, and she would be humiliated!
William coldly reprimanded, "Oh, so you do care about being humiliated, yet you're out there provoking those shady characters, only to be retaliated against! If this isn't resolved now, do you realize how much damage it could cause to the company? Is your reputation more important, or is the company more important?"
Hollis uncomfortably bit her lip and eventually gave in.
William gave her a stern look and immediately called Donovan, asking him to send someone over to help him deal with the trouble.
On the other end, after Donovan received the news, he simply instructed Paxton to pick someone from the tech department and send them to the Sutton Family Group.
Compared to the employees of the Sutton Family Group, Donovan's subordinate sent over was clearly much more capable.
While everyone was at a loss dealing with the virus all morning, that person took one look and started typing on the keyboard.
Those who were knowledgeable could easily see that under his operation, the virus was showing signs of being decrypted.
Meanwhile, Riley confirmed that the two little ones were fine and then returned to the study.
Landon actually sat with his computer, checking the stock market.
After a while, a string of code suddenly appeared on the screen.
"Winston, look at this!" Landon immediately called Winston over.
Seeing the code flashing on the screen, Winston's eyes lit up.
This was the program he had set up; if someone managed to crack the core program of the virus, a window would automatically pop up.
He thought that the virus wouldn't be cracked today at all!
It seemed like a real pro was at work!
Realizing this, Winston couldn't help but feel excited and, taking the computer from Landon, his fingers flew over the keyboard as he engaged in a showdown with that person.
Half an hour later, Winston slowly stopped his actions.
"How did it go?" Landon asked, puzzled.
Winston smiled with interest, "It's been cracked."
Upon hearing this, Landon looked at Winston strangely."Why are you so happy about it then?"
Winston nodded nonchalantly. “That person is indeed quite skilled; it's interesting to spar with him. However, I can assure you, he's definitely not part of the Sutton Group, much stronger than that bunch of useless people!"
