Chapter 44 Marry Him When You Grow Up
The two of them had a brief chat, and it was getting late, so Harper bid farewell and left.
The two children followed Riley around the room like two little tails.
Riley tidied up for a while before she had time to turn around and care for them.
"Did you have a good time at kindergarten today? Did you have any conflicts with other kids?"
The two children carefully recalled and vigorously nodded, "It was fun. When we finished school today, the other kids gave us a lot of snacks!"
After listening, Riley couldn't help but laugh, "You guys are so popular, huh?"
Winston nodded seriously and glanced at Landon before saying, "There was also a girl today who said she wants to marry my brother when she grows up!"
"Really?" Riley chuckled as she looked at her son.
Landon rarely hesitated and then looked at his little brother, his ears turning slightly red. "There is one, but I didn't agree to it."
Winston pinched his ear and made a funny face at him.
Seeing the two children playing, Riley's face was filled with a smile.
Although it was already late, the two children kept clinging to her and talked about their kindergarten stories for a while.
Most of the time, it was Winston who spoke a long string of words, and then Landon would sum it up.
Riley listened attentively and occasionally laughed because of their adorable mannerisms.
By the time they realized it, it was almost ten o'clock.
"Time to go to sleep, you have to go to kindergarten tomorrow!"
Riley put away her smile and urged the two children to go upstairs to rest.
The two children obediently stopped talking and went upstairs to rest.
The next morning, Riley sent them to kindergarten and then drove to the research institute.
After the morning meeting, Riley and Deacon walked out of the conference room together.
"How was the situation yesterday? Do you have a solution for Mr. Benedict Sr.'s condition?" Deacon asked with concern.
Riley nodded slightly, "Mr. Benedict Senior's condition seems severe, and the treatment is a bit complicated. However, it is not unsolvable. It's just that the treatment period will be longer. I will be going there frequently in the next few days, so I'll trouble you with this side."
After listening, Deacon's eyes were filled with admiration and he teased, "I didn't expect that the Benedict family, who had asked numerous doctors but couldn't find a solution, would find it not so troublesome in your hands, Dr. Monroe. Your words make us feel ashamed!"
He was teasing, but it was also the truth.
After all, among those helpless doctors was himself.
Riley smiled and said, "Well, it just happens to be my area of expertise."
Seeing her relaxed demeanor, Deacon's heart skipped a beat.
"By the way, although Mr. Benedict Sr. hasn't fully recovered yet, the Benedict family has agreed to provide us with medicinal herbs. We should be able to sign the contract today. And the first batch will be provided for free, solving our urgent situation. From now on, we don't have to worry about the medicine anymore."
Riley shifted the conversation to the supply of medicinal herbs, and her face was filled with joy at the thought of it.
Deacon raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Really? Mr. Benedict Sr. just woke up, and the Benedict family is willing to sign the contract with us?"
Riley nodded with a smile.
Receiving her affirmation, Deacon praised, "It seems like they have been convinced by your medical skills, or rather, your talent."
Riley smiled lightly, "I just did what I could, hoping that Mr. Benedict Senior's condition won't have any unexpected complications."
"With you personally involved, it will definitely go smoothly," Deacon said confidently.
