Chapter 372 Don't Interfere Anymore

Mia took a couple of steps back, still on the defensive. "What did I say wrong? The Benedict Group has been around for a century. If it falls into crisis because we angered the Wilder Group this time, that would be a huge loss for us!"

Dalton felt a headache coming on and snapped at her, "Do you even know what's kept the Benedict Group going for a hundred years?"

Mia looked down, staying quiet.

"Reputation!" Dalton shot her a disappointed look. "If we throw away our principles for personal reasons, what right do we have to stay in the medical field?"

Mia's confidence wavered as she glanced at Daniel on the sofa. She softened her tone and said to Dalton, "Dalton, I'm really thinking about what's best for the Benedict Group. In H City, who dares to go up against the Wilder Group? Didn't you see Mrs. Wilder's stance? Almost all the pharmaceutical suppliers in H City have been warned. If we don't get with the program, how will she see us? Our relationship with the Wilder family could get strained, and that would be bad for us."

She looked up again to see how Dalton would react.

Dalton's face stayed cold as he watched her, waiting to hear what other excuses she had.

"Besides, you know what Riley did to the Wilder family six years ago, right? She messed up big time, and now she's getting what she deserves, isn't she?" Mia added.

Dalton let out a sarcastic laugh.

Mia's heart sank, and she looked at him, confused.

"If you remember what Dr. Monroe did to the Wilder family six years ago, you should also remember that she just cured Grandpa's illness!" Dalton shot back. Her excuses were getting more ridiculous, and he wasn't having any of it.

Mia was stunned and instinctively looked at Daniel on the sofa.

Dalton's words clearly indicated that Daniel had already reacted to this matter.

"Grandpa..." Mia tried to soften her tone, hoping to win Daniel over.

Daniel had heard enough and felt only confusion and fatigue. Over the years, he had treated all the Benedict family members equally and guided them personally.

But Mia's attitude was extreme, and she didn't even know how to be grateful. Or did she just not respect him as her grandfather?

Thinking about this, Daniel felt a chill and looked at Mia with disappointment. He sighed, "Don't call me that. Dr. Monroe is my lifesaver. I made it clear at the birthday banquet that she's practically family. Why are you still targeting her? What are you trying to do?"

Mia quickly tried to explain, "Grandpa, it's not what you think. I just..."

"Do you realize your mistake?" Daniel cut her off, his gaze piercing.

Mia shut her mouth, her expression shifting from fear to defiance.

She had personal reasons for her actions, but she also genuinely thought it was for the good of the Benedict Group. Now they were all blaming her. When the Wilder Group caused trouble in the future, they'd see she was right!

Seeing that she still wouldn't admit her mistake, Daniel shook his head in disappointment and said, "From now on, stay out of the Benedict Group's affairs. Leave everything to Dalton."

Mia looked up in shock, wanting to say more.

But Daniel was done listening and signaled Dalton to help him upstairs to rest.
