Chapter 13 You Three Aren't Siblings, Are You?
Falling down hurt Finley and made her feel wronged. She subconsciously rubbed her small hand and tears welled in her eyes.
She picked herself up from the ground and took out a book from her desk, earnestly writing.
The other kids were used to it.
This mute couldn't speak, so she communicated with them through writing in the book.
However, as few people played with her, the book appeared infrequently.
Shortly after, Finley finished writing and turned the book around to show Stella, "Apology."
Seeing the words, Stella sneered and questioned, "You dare make me apologize? Finley Wilder, have you gotten brave and want to get beaten?"
As she spoke, she arrogantly walked towards Finley, raising her hand to push her.
Finley didn't even expect that Stella would hit her and didn't have time to react, standing still in her spot.
Landon and Winston had been paying attention to the situation.
Stella's sudden push on Finley just now went unnoticed until Finley fell, and they finally saw it.
Now that they saw Stella still wanting to resort to violence, the two boys couldn't bear it any longer.
"Stop, how can you bully someone like this!"
Landon stood in front of Finley, glaring at Stella with a dark expression.
Seeing him suddenly blocking Finley, Stella froze.
Landon looked serious and said, "Didn't your mother teach you? When you make a mistake, you should apologize. You pushed her, so you should apologize to her!"
Despite his young age, Landon was intimidating when he became serious.
Stella suddenly panicked and looked around, hoping that other children would help her.
After waiting for a while and seeing that no one stood up, she could only nervously defend herself, "I, I..."
She tried to say something after "I" for a long time but couldn't find the words.
Seeing her face turning red, Winston helplessly walked over and said, "This classmate, you can't hit people. That's not good behavior! Children shouldn't fight! So, you should apologize to this mute girl!"
Compared to Landon, Winston's tone was much softer, but still strict.
Stella glanced at him and her eyes slowly turned red, as if she was about to cry.
Winston blinked and said, "Don't cry. You won't look pretty if you cry. Bad children also become less pretty. Bad children hit others, so if you don't want to be a bad child, apologize to the mute girl. If she forgives you, then you will be a good child!"
Upon hearing this, Stella sniffed hard, managing to hold back her tears.
She didn't want to be an ugly girl!
However, bad children also become less pretty...
Stella struggled for a while and, sniffing, apologized to Finley, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pushed you. Can you forgive me?"
Finley looked at her for a while and nodded.
"That's right!"
Winston grinned, "We're all classmates, we should get along nicely!"
Seeing that Finley was willing to forgive her, Stella reluctantly nodded.
Everyone chimed in with Winston's words, but Landon turned to Finley and asked, "How about you? Did you get hurt just now?"
Finley silently hid the injured hand behind her back and shook her head at Landon.
Winston came over at some point as well, with a slightly suspicious expression in his eyes, "I saw you bump into something just now. How is it possible that you're not hurt? Let me see!"
Saying this, without giving Finley time to react, Winston grabbed Finley's hand.
Finley was a little scared and wanted to retract her hand.
However, her fair skin and the small red mark on the back of her hand were particularly noticeable.
Seeing that red mark, Landon confirmed with her again, "Are you really not feeling any pain?"
Finley earnestly nodded, but tears still welled up in her eyes.
Both Landon and Winston furrowed their brows at the same time.
How could it not hurt, given the severity of the injury? It was swollen and would likely bruise in the future!
"We'll take you to see the teacher and have the doctor take a look," Landon made a decision.
Finley wanted to pull her hand back, but Winston grabbed it firmly and led her behind his brother to the teacher's office.
Seeing the scars on Finley's hand, the teacher asked what had happened and quickly took them to the school clinic.
Finley's injury wasn't serious, but the doctor applied treatment to her hand and massaged it for a while.
After it was over, seeing the two children waiting for a long time by the side, the teacher couldn't help but praise, "Are these two children new? Why haven't I seen them before? They're really cute and will surely be beautiful when they grow up! And they even look quite similar to this little girl, could they be siblings?"
Landon and Winston heard this and exchanged a glance before silently turning their gaze towards Finley.
They weren't surprised, after all, Finley had the same father as them.
Being half-siblings who share the same father, it wasn't strange for them to resemble one other.
Others had also remarked before that their facial features didn't resemble their mother.
Finley also stared at Landon and Winston, wondering, 'do we really look alike?'
After the doctor treated Finley's wound, the teacher led the three children away.
At the classroom, Finley followed them like a little tail.
When they reached their seats, the three of them sat down.
Landon and Winston initially thought their task was over, but they didn't expect that during the break time, wherever they went, the little mute girl would follow.
They couldn't shake off this tail!
And during class, the little mute girl would always secretly watch them.
After a few times, Landon couldn't help but narrow his eyebrows and meet her gaze, "What are you doing following us?"
His tone wasn't harsh, but it lacked emotion, even seeming a little cold.
Finley was startled by him and avoided his gaze for a moment, but after a few seconds, she looked at him again.
Landon frowned slightly.
He did have a good impression of this little sister, she was good-looking.
If they were not half-siblings, he and Winston would definitely protect her like a little princess.
However, this little mute girl was their father's daughter!
If they were friendly to her, they would betray their mother!
He wanted to ignore her, but saw Finley start writing on a book.
"I want to be friends with you."
In no time, Finley raised the book, covering the lower half of her face and revealing only a pair of bright eyes.
