Chapter 45 Not Wanting to Meet Him

Thinking that her friend had been helping her take care of the children for two days already, Riley had some free time in the afternoon after finishing her business. She went to the Benedict family, planning to pick up the two kids in the evening on her own.

Upon arriving at the Benedict family, Riley checked Mr. Benedict Sr.'s condition and confirmed that there were no complications. She then proceeded with the treatment process, treating Mr. Benedict Senior.

While waiting to remove the equipment, Dalton walked in holding a document. "Dr. Monroe, this is the prepared contract. Take a look, and if there are no issues, you can sign it."

This was what they had agreed upon last night, so Riley wasn't surprised. She carefully read through it and signed her name on top.

After signing the contract, Dalton's attitude towards her became even friendlier. "From now on, we are in a cooperative relationship. However, my grandfather's situation still requires Dr. Monroe's dedicated attention."

Riley nodded, "That's what I should do."

The two of them chatted for a while, and when it was time, Riley removed the equipment from Mr. Benedict Senior.

Even though she had tried her best to save time, by the time she finished packing up, it was already past the time for the children to leave kindergarten.

Riley quickly said her goodbyes and drove to the kindergarten to pick up the two kids.

She didn't tell them that she would be late today, so she didn't know if the two children would be worried.

When she arrived at the kindergarten, it was already empty, with almost all the children gone.

Riley looked around and finally spotted the two children's figures on the small chairs in the playground.

However, she didn't see the accompanying teacher.

Seeing this, Riley felt a little worried and quickly walked over.

"Mommy!" Seeing her, the two children ran towards her excitedly.

Riley hugged one of them and gently touched their little faces before squatting down and saying, "Mommy had some work to do and accidentally missed the time. I'm sorry."

Landon shook his head sensibly, "It's okay, we're just waiting in the kindergarten anyway, and we have teachers to accompany us, mom doesn't need to worry."

Winston nodded as well.

After listening, Riley looked at them in confusion, "Are there teachers accompanying you?"

Landon pointed to the corner of the playground.

Looking in the direction he pointed, Riley finally saw a slide there, with a teacher crouching there, smiling kindly and talking to a little girl.

The little girl was wearing a cute kindergarten uniform, with her hands somewhat restrained on her knees, sitting upright, but her eyes were earnestly fixed on them.

Seeing the little girl's face clearly, Riley was startled.

If she didn't recognize her incorrectly, this was clearly Donovan's daughter.

She also went to this kindergarten?

Finley had been focused on Landon and Winston, but suddenly her eyes brightened when she saw the beautiful aunt.

And when she saw the beautiful aunt looking at her, she happily lifted the corners of her mouth, wanting to greet the beautiful aunt.

However, in the next moment, the beautiful aunt withdrew her gaze.

Finley's lips drooped again, looking at them somewhat aggrieved.

The beautiful aunt had clearly recognized her just now, but ignored her.

"Mommy, what's wrong with you? Did you have a hard day at work today?"

Landon saw his mommy distracted and shook her finger with concern.

Riley snapped back to reality and smiled. "No, I didn't have a hard time."

After hearing this, Winston grabbed her hand excitedly and exclaimed, "Then let's go home!"
