Chapter 35 Apologizing to Her

Before Riley could react, someone reached out and helped support her waist, barely stabilizing her body.

With a glance, Donovan met Riley's intense gaze.

Locking eyes, Riley's body momentarily stiffened, then quickly looked away, sitting up in bed.

Donovan instinctively reached out to help, but seeing her avoiding him, his gaze darkened and he retracted the hand that was resting on her waist.

"You dare claim to have studied many rare diseases, is this your research result? I think those certificates of yours were bought!" Mia, completely unaware of the tension between them, continued to be angry, glaring at Dalton. "Dalton, I think she's just a fraud! Get her out of here!"

Upon hearing this, Riley composed herself, and sarcastically retorted without hesitation, "No wonder Mr. Benedict Sr. turned out like this. It turns out that someone has been hindering Mr. Benedict Senior's treatment. Since Miss Benedict insists, then forget it, pretend I never came today."

After speaking, she got up and packed her instruments into a bag.

Her attitude while treating Mr. Benedict Senior was so persevering, no one expected her to leave so resolutely.

Dalton froze for a few seconds before regaining his composure and hurriedly said, "Dr. Monroe, I apologize. I won't hide it from you, our family is a medical family, and we understand your treatment methods. My sister is probably angry because she finds your treatment methods dangerous and is worried about our grandfather. I hope you're not angry."
Riley continued to pack her things. "I don't need to be mistreated here because of an ignorant person. Today, I came with sincerity to treat Mr. Benedict Senior. Since Miss Benedict doesn't believe in me, then forget it!"

After she finished speaking, Riley took the packed medicine box and walked towards the door.

Dalton grew anxious, carefully placing Mr. Benedict Senior back down and quickly catching up. "Dr. Monroe, let's have a proper discussion. My sister did indeed go too far with her words, I will make her apologize to you. Please continue to treat my grandfather."

"No need, I cannot accept Miss Benedict's apology," Riley said coldly.

Donovan stood by the bedside, his brow furrowing as he watched Riley's figure.

He could sense that this woman was truly angry.

Beside them, Finley also recognized that her beautiful aunt was upset, a hint of anxiety in her eyes.

She hadn't even had a chance to greet her beautiful aunt, but now she was about to be driven away by anger.

Thinking this, Finley, unusually angry, walked over with her short legs, picked up her book, and wrote a few words angrily, then held it up in front of Mia.

Everyone noticed the sudden appearance of the little girl, and their attention was drawn to the large characters on her book.

"Apologize!" Finley stared at Mia with big eyes.

Seeing this situation, Mia felt a bit embarrassed. She looked away, pretending not to see Finley, and turned to her brother, saying, "Dalton, if this doesn't work, let's look for another doctor. I don't trust her."

Seeing that she didn't apologize, Riley's expression turned cold, and he sarcastically pursed his lips at Mia, "Then I hope Miss Benedict finds a satisfactory doctor before Mr. Benedict Sr. dies."

After speaking, she turned and walked away.

Just as she took a step forward, her wrist was suddenly grabbed.

Riley furrowed her brow in annoyance and turned her head to see Donovan's expressionless handsome face in front of her. Riley was filled with confusion.

‘What does he mean by this?’
