Chapter 366 Where Did Things Go Wrong
Riley just smiled and glanced up at Dalton standing across from her. "Mr. Benedict, I need your help with something this time," she said, keeping it polite.
Dalton nodded right away. "Dr. Monroe, just let me know."
Riley was about to speak when Daniel waved his hand. "Let's not talk about it here. Lunch should be ready. Dr. Monroe, stay for lunch, and you can discuss it while eating."
Riley hesitated. She wasn't just here to ask for help; she felt like she had come to confront him. With Daniel being so welcoming, she wasn't sure if she could still bring it up.
Dalton added, "You don't come by often; why not stay for a meal with us?" He helped Daniel toward the villa.
Riley had no choice but to follow, mentally scrapping all the words she had prepared.
At the dining table, Riley hesitated, unsure how to start. Daniel broke the silence. "Dr. Monroe, didn't you say you needed Dalton's help? What's up?"
Dalton looked over, curious.
Riley paused, then pulled out a list of medications from her bag and handed it to Dalton. "I wonder if the Benedict Group still has these in stock. Our original supplier can't provide them right now, and the research institute urgently needs them, so I had to come to you."
Dalton glanced at the list and frowned. "These aren't common meds. I think we have some in the warehouse, but I'm not sure if it's enough."
Riley felt a bit relieved. Whether it was because Daniel was there or not, Dalton seemed willing to help, which would solve the institute's urgent needs.
"I don't need too much. I'll try to contact other suppliers. If you can provide some, it would be a big help," Riley said gratefully.
Dalton nodded. "Since these are urgent, you can always come to the Benedict Group first. Even if it's just because you cured my grandfather, we'll prioritize you."
Riley agreed, feeling more at ease.
"But I'm not directly responsible for the supply. You should contact Barry; he'll handle it," Dalton added.
Riley looked confused and didn't respond right away.
Dalton asked, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
Riley hesitated, then replied, "To be honest, I contacted Mr. Myers before I came, but he seemed to indicate some difficulties. I thought it was your decision, so I came in person."
It seemed Dalton knew nothing about this.
Dalton frowned, his expression darkening. Even Daniel looked serious.
Dalton had always instructed his team to prioritize supplying Riley's research institute. Now she was being refused by Barry. What went wrong?
Dalton looked at Riley seriously. "This is definitely not my intention. Our family has a hundred-year tradition of keeping our word! There must be a mistake somewhere. I don't know the specifics yet, but rest assured, Dr. Monroe, I'll investigate this and get you an explanation!"
