Chapter 350 Finley Might Fully Bounce Back

As soon as Donovan got Olivia's panicked call, he dropped everything at work and bolted home. On the way, he quickly called Alexander, Finley's long-time psychologist.

Ever since that weird disappearance, Finley's mental state had been shaky and needed constant watching. When Donovan and Alexander arrived at the house, Olivia was there, looking super anxious.

"Where's Finley?" Donovan asked, scanning the living room.

Olivia pointed upstairs, her voice shaky. "She went to her room right after she got back. She seemed really upset and wouldn't talk to me. I thought it was best to call you."

Donovan's jaw clenched as he nodded and headed for the stairs, Alexander right behind him. They found Finley's bedroom door locked and no sound coming from inside.

Donovan's heart sank. He knocked gently. "Finley, it's Daddy. Open the door, please."

After a bit, there was still no sound, and the door stayed shut.

Donovan looked at Alexander. Finley coming back alone wasn't the issue; it was her current state that worried him. He was scared she'd shut down completely like last time.

Alexander's brow furrowed. He'd been Finley's psychologist for years, and while there hadn't been huge improvements, situations like this were rare.

After a moment, Donovan told Olivia, "Go get the key."

Olivia nodded and was about to get the key when Finley's bedroom door suddenly opened.

All three of them let out a sigh of relief.

"What happened? Why did you come back alone?" Donovan asked, bending down to meet Finley's eyes, but she looked away, shaking her head in frustration.

Donovan gently patted her head. "It's okay if you don't want to talk right now. If you're upset, just take some time to rest. We'll call you down for dinner later."

Finley nodded and started to go back into her room. "Don't lock the door," Donovan added softly. Finley looked back and nodded again before closing the door—without locking it.

Standing outside, Donovan exhaled and led Alexander to his study for a private chat. "What do you think of Finley's current condition?" Donovan asked as they sat down at the big wooden desk.

Alexander folded his hands thoughtfully. "Same as always. Maybe only certain people can make her situation improve."

Donovan knew exactly who Alexander meant.

"My suggestion is to let Finley spend more time with Ms. Monroe. Being around her might help Finley bounce back," Alexander said.

Donovan's expression turned cold. Alexander looked puzzled. "Is there a problem?"

Donovan rubbed his brow. "It's not very likely right now." He knew Finley got a lot better around Riley, but given Riley's rejection of him, it would be tough to get Finley to stay with her again anytime soon.

Alexander noticed Donovan's distress. "Given the situation, you're the person Finley trusts most. You'll have to keep a close eye on her. If anything changes, call me right away," he said.

Donovan nodded slightly.
