Chapter 76 Can't Leave Us Like This

Seeing Finley's appearance, Riley was first stunned, and then her heart ached suddenly. She almost instinctively squatted down and hugged Finley into her arms, patting her back to comfort her.

Finley clutched her clothes, sobbing pitifully.

Seeing this scene, a touch of helplessness crossed Donovan's eyes again.

Just now at home, when Donovan reached out to hug her, Finley just knew how to hide without a word.

Now facing Riley, she knew to reach out for a hug.

Or is it that children instinctively rely on their mothers?

"Don't cry, tell Auntie, what's wrong?" Riley coaxed Finley tenderly.

Finley naturally didn't speak.

In the end, Donovan cleared his throat and casually said, "Today, when going to school, Finley didn't see your two sons at home, thought they weren't going, cried all night when she got back, and insisted on coming to confirm."

Hearing this, Riley felt emotional. Finley really clings to Landon and Winston.

Realizing this, Riley's tone softened even more, "Don't cry; Landon and Winston had a stomachache today; Auntie gave them a day off; they'll go to school tomorrow to play with you."

After hearing Riley's almost identical words to Daddy's, Finley finally believed it, slowly stopped sobbing, left Riley's arms, and cautiously looked around the room, trying to find Landon and Winston's figures.

But the position at the door couldn't see the dining room at all. Finley couldn't see Landon and Winston, and she started to feel uneasy again.

Seeing Finley's cautious demeanor, Riley's heart softened, patting Finley's head. "Want to play with Landon and Winston? Auntie will take you to find them."

With that, she lifted Finley and was about to walk inside when Finley suddenly leaned back.

Riley suddenly remembered the gentleman still standing at the door. Moreover, if Riley didn't speak, Donovan might not follow inside.

Thinking this, Riley turned to glance at the man by the door. The evening breeze brushed past, Donovan's shirt almost clinging to his body, looking at them expressionlessly.

It seemed he was in a hurry to bring Finley over and forgot to wear a jacket.

Holding Finley, Riley, feeling a soft spot for him too, casually said, "CEO Wilder, why don't you come in as well?"

As the words fell, the man at the door finally stepped inside. "Landon and Winston are having dinner; Auntie will take you to see them."

Riley walked slowly, comforting Finley as they made their way to the dining room. The three of them arrived at the restaurant.

Landon and Winston were engrossed in their meal.

Upon seeing them, they swallowed what was in their mouths, both looking puzzled. "How did Finley come here?"

Riley placed Finley next to the two little ones and softly said, "Finley was worried about you not going to school, crying to come find you. Quickly talk to her."

As if confirming her words, Finley nervously intertwined her hands on her princess dress, big eyes fixed on Landon and Winston without blinking, her nose slightly red, looking like a doll.

Seeing Finley like this, Landon and Winston exchanged a glance, finding Finley adorable yet feeling sorry for her.

"We were unwell in the morning, but we're fine now. Don't worry," Landon reassured in a serious tone.

Winston turned back to Finley, making a funny face, "Look how scared you are. We just took a day off, and you can't bear to be without us? Little clingy bug!"

Hearing Landon and Winston's words, Finley finally relaxed, tears turning into a smile.
