Chapter 55 Some Hostility Towards Him

After taking the medicine, Landon and Winston came downstairs with gifts they had picked out for Finley. Each of them held a weird-looking doll in their arms and walked up to Finley. "We bought these with our own pocket money and are giving them to you," they said.

The two dolls were a bit ugly yet cute, and they looked completely different from Finley. However, this was the first time Finley had received a gift from her peers, especially from the two friends she liked, so she eagerly accepted them without hesitation. Her face was filled with joy as she hugged the two dolls, which were both ugly and cute, even harder than the doll she had held before.

After a while, Finley had hugged the dolls enough and put them down. She wrote a big "thank you" on a book and with a soft and adorable smile on her face, she held up the book to show Landon and Winston.

Landon and Winston had never seen their little sister smile like this before. Although they had been rejecting her because she was Dad's child with another woman, seeing Finley look so cute and happy, they felt as if their hearts had been struck. They glanced at each other and awkwardly scratched their heads. This half-blood sister was really cute! They didn't hate her anymore.

On the side, Riley watched the three kids getting along and felt a softened heart. She patted Finley's head and said to her own two children, "You guys play with Finley for a while. Mommy will make a phone call to the research institute to tell them we'll be a little late today. Be careful with Finley's hand, as it just received some medicine."

The two kids obediently nodded. Seeing this, Riley got up and went upstairs to make the phone call.

"Shall we play with LEGO?" the two boys asked, not knowing what girls would like to play with, so they could only invite Finley to play with what they usually played with.

Finley's eyes gleamed, and she nodded without hesitation. Today, she truly hadn't come to the wrong place. The beautiful aunt had personally put medicine on her hand, and now Landon and Winston had invited her to play!

Since Landon and Winston's IQs were higher than normal children, Riley had bought them LEGO meant for adults. The finished products were quite large, and they had already assembled half of it.

"If you don't know how, you can watch us first," Landon kindly said.

Finley nodded and watched them assemble a few pieces before starting to assemble by herself.

Landon and Winston couldn't help but stop their actions, ready to teach her at any time.

However, they saw that Finley was actually assembling it very well.

Not long after, he caught up with their speed and had a high accuracy rate.

The two children were dumbfounded.

Mommy had bought this for them because they were very smart, but Finley was also so talented.

Could it be because they had the same father?

Just as they were astonished, the doorbell of the villa rang.

The two children looked at each other and thought of the same person.

"I'll go open the door, you play with Finley," Landon stood up and walked towards the door.

After opening the door, he saw the man who was supposed to be his father, dressed in a luxury suit, standing to the side.

"Hello," Landon politely and somewhat distantly greeted.

Donovan thought it was Riley opening the door, his expression indifferent.

But when he saw that it was a child opening the door, his brows couldn't help but furrow.

If he was not mistaken, this was Riley's child.

For some reason, this child seemed to be hostile towards him.

"Finley is inside, come in," Landon glanced at him and coolly turned back into the house.
