Chapter 274 How Will You Compensate

Riley walked into the hotel lobby and spotted Hollis on a couch, facing away from the entrance.

Normally, Riley would steer clear, but with Finley missing, she went straight over. "Has Finley come back?"

Hollis, lost in her thoughts, only noticed Riley when she spoke.

Their eyes met, and Hollis's panic turned to anger.

It was Riley's fault Finley was lost!

Seeing Hollis's expression, Riley felt uneasy and was about to ask more.

Suddenly, Hollis stood up, eyes red, and pointed at Riley. "How dare you ask! If it weren't for you, Finley wouldn't have run out! It's all your fault, you bitch!"

Riley's face changed. "What are you talking about?"

Because of her? What happened before Finley left?

"What did you do to Finley? Why can't she stay away from you? I just try to change her room, what did I do wrong?" Hollis ranted, unsure if she was blaming Riley or convincing herself.

Riley felt a wave of guilt. So, Finley ran out to find her?

If she had taken Finley with her earlier, this wouldn't have happened.

It was all her fault.

"Bitch! If anything happens to Finley, how will you make up for it?" Hollis yelled, glaring at Riley. "I warned you to stay away from Finley and Donovan, but you didn't listen! You knew Finley's situation and still let her depend on you. Are you trying to use Finley's affections to get back with Donovan? Dream on!"

Riley couldn't focus on Hollis's words; she was only thinking about Finley.

If something happened to Finley, she'd never forgive herself.

"So, Finley hasn't come back?" she asked quietly.

Hollis fell silent for a few moments before impatiently retorting, "No! I told you she went to find you!"

Riley nodded and left the hotel, ignoring Hollis.

Since Finley went missing trying to find her, she had to find her quickly.

Finley must be so scared alone.

In the lobby, Hollis watched Riley leave with a grim look.

It was all Riley's fault! She was the reason for this mess!

And that little brat, why did she run out? Was she that attached to Riley?

Hollis tried to blame Riley but couldn't shake her own panic.

After much thought, she called the police and then Catherine.

Better she told Catherine than Donovan.

The phone was answered after two rings.

"Hollis, what's up?" Catherine's cheerful voice came through. "Weren't you going to see Finley? How is she?"

Hollis's voice broke. "Finley... Finley is missing..."
