Chapter 207 I'm Not Interested in My Ex

Despite driving as fast as she could, by the time Riley got to the café, Hollis was already there.

"Busy lady, making me wait for a long time," Hollis sneered as soon as Riley walked in.

Riley sat down across from her and calmly said, "Sorry, I had a crazy morning. "

Seeing Hollis ready to mock her further, Riley cut to the chase. "If you have something to say, just say it. I need to get back to work."

Hollis was taken aback by her bluntness, her face turning cold. "You seriously don't know? My engagement to Donovan has been public for ages. How could you not know?"

Riley had seen this coming and stayed cool. "Yeah, I know. Congrats to you both."

"Riley!" Hollis snapped, not liking her indifferent attitude. "It's just us here. No need to fake it. Since you know about my engagement, what's with that news yesterday?"

Just as she expected.

Riley felt a twinge of irony but stayed calm. "Shouldn't you be happy about yesterday's news? Everyone's saying Mr. Wilder is super considerate to his fiancée. Isn't that what you want?"

To outsiders, that woman was Hollis.

Hollis's face grew colder. She clenched her fists, trying to keep her anger in check, and glared at Riley. "Donovan treats me well. I don't need those photos as proof. For six years, he's always loved me! If it weren't for you, I would've married Donovan back then!"

Riley didn't deny it.

What she said was true.

Six years ago, Donovan had even said he would only marry Hollis.

Riley still remembered it clearly.

"Six years ago, you came between Donovan and me, making us miss out on so many years."

Hollis's face was stern. "Now, everyone in H City knows about my engagement to Donovan. Since you know too, I suggest you consider your reputation a bit and stay away from Donovan. Don't be a homewrecker again after six years. As a fellow woman, I feel ashamed for you!"

Riley frowned. "Instead of wasting time talking about me, you should focus on Mr. Wilder."

Six years ago, she had indeed foolishly clung to Donovan.

But now, it was Donovan who kept approaching her!

Seeing Riley dare to retort, Hollis's tone grew colder. "I'm just kindly reminding you. Six years ago, you didn't care about your reputation. Now, Ms. Monroe, you should think more about your kids. If they find out their mother is interfering in someone else's marriage, what would they think?"

Riley had intended to settle their issues.

But she hadn't expected Hollis to bring up her two kids.

Riley's face darkened, and she coldly retorted, "Miss Sutton, rest assured, I'm not interested in my ex. However, I can't control what Mr. Wilder thinks. Miss Sutton, you should focus more on Mr. Wilder!"

With that, she didn't give Hollis a chance to respond and got up to leave.
