Chapter 423 Have to Admit This Fact
Seeing him walk away, Riley stayed in her seat for a bit longer before finally getting up.
As soon as she stood, a wave of dizziness hit her, probably from all the stress.
She grabbed the seat in front of her to steady herself, then carefully got off the plane.
The whole trip had been rough on her body, and her stomach was killing her.
Once inside the airport, Riley made a beeline for the restroom.
She felt so awful that she accidentally bumped into someone with a suitcase on her way.
Despite feeling like crap, Riley quickly apologized to the guy, then rushed to the restroom, hand over her mouth.
Not far away, Donovan heard some commotion behind him. He turned around and saw Riley running to the restroom, hunched over.
Seeing this, Donovan's eyes darkened, and he quickly followed her.
Even though Riley was always cold towards him, Donovan couldn't help but worry when he saw her looking so sick.
He stopped outside the ladies' restroom, frowning as he listened to her retching inside.
Meanwhile, Riley was leaning against the wall, her fingers pale from the effort, vomiting uncontrollably.
The earlier stress and the bumpy flight had really messed up her stomach.
Maybe the nerves had kept it at bay, but once she got off the plane, the discomfort hit her hard.
Riley didn't know how long she had been throwing up before she started to feel a bit better.
As she straightened up, she felt a wave of darkness and almost collapsed.
She stayed in the restroom for a while before slowly getting up and exiting.
"What happened?" Donovan's voice suddenly came from beside her.
Riley paused, looking up hesitantly.
Seeing Donovan, she felt confused.
Hadn't he already left? Why was he back? And why did he always have to see her at her worst?
Thinking of this, Riley reluctantly pulled her hand away from the wall and gave him a casual smile, "Thanks for your concern, Mr. Wilder. Just a bit of air sickness from the turbulence. I'm fine now."
Donovan looked at her skeptically.
Riley had just managed to conquer her fear, but after vomiting, she turned as pale as a ghost.
Her claim of feeling better didn't seem convincing.
Riley still felt weak, but she didn't want to lean against the wall in front of Donovan, so she braced herself, hoping he'd leave.
But Donovan didn't seem to be going anywhere.
Riley finally spoke up, "If there's nothing else, Mr. Wilder, you should head back."
Donovan raised an eyebrow, "When I leave is none of your concern, Ms. Monroe."
Riley's voice caught, but she had to admit he was right.
Judging by his demeanor, if she didn't leave first, they might be stuck here forever.
Thinking of this, Riley gritted her teeth and tried to walk away.
But her legs were too weak, and as soon as she took a step, she almost fell.
In her panic, she reached out to steady herself against the wall, but her hand landed on a firm arm instead.
