Chapter 122 Finally Seeing Her Good Side

Riley spent almost the entire day with Finley.

But Finley remained unresponsive.

As the sky darkened, Riley, though reluctant to leave Finley, knew it was time to go.

"I will come to see you again tomorrow. Be good, okay?" Before leaving, Riley gave Finley a strong hug.

The two little ones also lined up to hug their little sister.

Just as the three were about to leave, Riley's skirt was grabbed.

Riley was shocked and turned around in disbelief, only to find Finley's eyes still staring blankly into the distance, but her small hand tightly clutching Riley's skirt.

Outside the door, Donovan and Alexander exchanged glances, both looking astonished.

They believed that Finley had completely withdrawn from the world and would not react to anything. However, unexpectedly, she was aware of Riley's presence and did not want her to leave.

Witnessing Finley's condition, Riley felt a twinge of heartache.

She stood still for a moment before slowly turning back to Finley, crouching down to meet the little girl's gaze. "Finley, you know Riley is here, don't you?”

Finley's expression remained wooden, but her small hand still clutched Riley's skirt.

Landon and Winston, seeing their little sister's state, couldn't help but ask their mommy, "Mommy, can we take little sister home with us?"

'Taking Finley home...' she thought.

Riley's heart stirred, hesitating as she turned to look at the two men at the door.

If Finley were willing, she would be happy to take her home and care for her.

But she was afraid Finley couldn't be without her father.

Donovan and Alexander also heard the words of the two young children. Alexander spoke earnestly, "I believe it's a good idea. Just the fact that she's responding to you is already a significant step forward. If you continue to spend time together, her chances of recovery may increase.”

After speaking, he turned to look at Donovan.

Donovan stared at the small hand clutching Riley's skirt, feeling a dull ache in his heart as if struck by a blunt object.

After a moment of silence, he averted his gaze and spoke in a deep voice, "I will take all of you. Just wait here, I will ask Cole to pack some of Finley's essentials." Riley and the two children were both surprised and pleased to hear his agreement.

The two little ones immediately turned around to hug their little sister, their faces full of smiles. "We'll take good care of you!"

Later, Donovan personally drove the four of them away.

Finley was held in Riley's arms like a doll. After getting into the car, she clung to Riley, her small hand unconsciously gripping her skirt.

Landon sensibly sat in the front passenger seat.

On the way, Donovan meticulously explained to Riley the things to pay attention to when taking care of Finley.

Although Cole was there, he usually took care of Finley himself when he was home and knew her habits well.

Donovan remembered all these details, such as her getting up at night, needing milk before bed, and being particular about food.

Finally, Donovan glanced at the individuals in the back seat through the rearview mirror, his eyes serious. "Finley will be in your care for the next few days. Thank you for being willing to assist her.”

Riley lowered her gaze and replied calmly, "As I mentioned before, children are innocent. I will take good care of her." After escorting them inside, Donovan lingered briefly.

Once he ensured that Finley was settled in her room and bid her farewell, he departed. Upon seeing Finley in the house, Riley couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.”

Donovan actually trusted me enough to leave his daughter with me and just left?" she pondered.

However, upon seeing Finley's blank expression, all these thoughts were pushed aside. After leaving Riley's house, Donovan's expression darkened. He took his phone and called Hollis.

"Donovan, what's going on?" Hollis's voice was filled with flirtation.

She rarely received calls from Donovan. It was usually her way of reaching out. She thought Donovan had finally seen her good side.

Donovan's voice was cold. "Flavor Fusion, in half an hour."

After speaking, he directly hung up the phone.
