Chapter 290 Applying Medicine to Riley

When Riley got home, the kids were already up and bombarding her with questions about Finley.

They were thrilled to hear Finley was talking again.

With Riley's wrist injury, the kids wouldn't let her do anything and hovered around her all day.

The next morning, Riley planned to go to work, but the kids insisted she stay home.

"Mommy, you're still hurt. You should rest," Winston said, looking pitiful.

Landon added, "We don't want you to get sick again like last time."

Riley knew they were worried, and since her wrist was injured, it was hard to work. So, she agreed to stay home.

After breakfast, the doorbell rang.

Riley opened the door and was surprised to see Donovan with Finley, who was holding a small bag.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

Donovan nodded towards Finley. "She wanted to bring you some medicine."

Finley handed Riley the bag. "Riley, medicine."

Donovan was used to Finley's attachment to Riley, so he wasn't surprised when she spoke.

Riley's heart melted at Finley's soft voice. She took the bag and patted Finley's head. "Thank you, Finley."

Finley smiled and looked expectantly behind Riley.

Riley hesitated but then let them in.

Landon and Winston were playing with Legos and waved for Finley to join them.

But Finley shook her head and looked at Riley with big, hopeful eyes.

Riley bent down to meet her gaze. "What do you want me to do?"

Finley gently touched Riley's injured wrist, looking worried.

Riley understood and smiled. "It's not serious. The doctor already treated it."

But Finley led her to the sofa.

Riley sat down, and Finley reached out her hand. "Change the bandage."

She took the bag from the coffee table and pulled out a bottle of medicine.

Riley was surprised but touched. She extended her hand to Finley.

Finley carefully unwrapped the bandage, saw the wound, and pouted sadly, gently blowing on it.

Seeing how much Finley cared, Riley chuckled. "Are you going to apply the medicine for me? It's okay. This kind of injury might hurt a child, but not an adult. Go ahead, Finley."
