Chapter 32 Only One Last Breath Left

Seeing her resolute appearance, Dalton was moved, but he still looked at Donovan's expression.

Donovan just coldly stared at the serious-looking woman and didn't say anything unnecessary.

Dalton nodded at Riley, "Then we'll trouble Dr. Monroe. Please follow me."

Riley breathed a sigh of relief in her heart and tried hard to ignore the man's gaze. She got up and followed behind Dalton, passing by Donovan.

Seeing that her brother really took the young woman upstairs, Mia still felt uneasy and quickly followed.

The figures of the three disappeared at the corner of the stairs.

Finley tugged at his father's collar reluctantly, wanting him to go up too.

Donovan withdrew his gaze from the corner of the stairs, lowered his eyes, and smiled reluctantly at the little girl in his arms. He then walked upstairs.

When they arrived at the door of the room, Riley's peripheral vision caught sight of a man who suddenly appeared, and her heart tightened.

"We have arrived," said Dalton in a deep voice.

Riley quickly collected her thoughts and forced herself to calm down as she followed him into the room.

Upon entering, she immediately noticed a strong smell of medicine.

Riley scanned the room and only saw a large bed in the center, with several individuals wearing white clothes standing by the bedside. It seemed that they were a medical team specially prepared for Mr. Benedict Senior.

This room was most likely designated as a medical room specifically for Mr. Benedict Sr.

Just as she had heard, the Benedict family truly placed great importance on Mr. Benedict Sr.'s condition.

Dalton led her directly to Mr. Benedict Senior's bedside and said, "Dr. Monroe, please."

Riley nodded and lowered her gaze to observe the person lying on the bed.

Mr. Benedict lay weakly on the bed, his body thin and cheeks sunken. He appeared extremely frail.

Upon seeing the scene before her, Riley's expression became grave, and she furrowed her brows tightly.

Indeed, Mr. Benedict's condition was as serious as Deacon had described.

She couldn't afford to delay any further. After making her observations, she immediately held Mr. Benedict Senior's wrist and earnestly began diagnosing him.

Seeing her actions, Dalton was taken aback.

He hadn't expected this woman to be such a brilliant doctor, and moreover, she simply diagnosed Mr. Benedict Senior's condition without much difficulty.

However, during this period of time, they had consulted numerous doctors from around the world in order to cure Mr. Benedict Senior's illness. Dalton had witnessed various methods and techniques.

Seeing Riley in action now was only a brief surprise, and he didn't say anything.

Riley sat by the bedside, one hand supporting Mr. Benedict Senior's hand, and the other gripping his wrist. With lowered eyes, she wholeheartedly focused on treating Mr. Benedict Senior.

However, based on her observations, Mr. Benedict Senior's illness was indeed very severe.

She had assumed that the symptoms Deacon had described were already quite serious.

However, she hadn't expected the actual situation of Mr. Benedict Sr. to be even worse than what he described!

During the diagnosis process, she also noticed that Mr. Benedict Senior's breathing was very weak, to the point where every breath seemed like his last.

After some time, Riley released Mr. Benedict Senior's hand with a serious expression, stood up, and walked over to Dalton and the others.

"Dr. Monroe, do you have any results? How is my grandfather doing? Do you have a treatment plan?" Dalton, seeing Mr. Benedict Senior's doctor for the first time, had a hopeful look in his eyes.

Riley frowned and asked, "Mr. Benedict Senior's condition is so serious, why didn't you take him to the hospital? He's on the verge of dying, and you're keeping him at home?"
