Chapter 273 Mommy Is Very Anxious

"How could Finley just disappear?" Riley asked as they left the botanical garden.

She needed answers or she'd keep blaming herself.

Donovan gave her a serious look. He suspected Finley went missing trying to find Riley.

Riley felt uneasy. "Wasn't she with you guys? How did you lose her?"

"How could two adults fail to look after a little girl?" left unsaid. She didn't want to seem like she was blaming Donovan, who was already stressed.

Donovan frowned and said, "She had a fight with Hollis."

"What happened?" Riley couldn't understand why Finley would run off.

Donovan looked away, not wanting to explain.

Even without details, Riley felt guilty. If Finley went missing to find her, she'd blame herself more.

Seeing Donovan's reluctance, Riley decided not to push. It was their family matter.

All she could do now was help find Finley.

"I'll check ahead, you check the way towards the hotel," Donovan said, heading up the mountain.

Riley didn't waste time and rushed toward the hotel.

Inside the botanical garden, the kids split up, calling for Finley. They searched everywhere but found nothing.

"Finley, come out! We're not playing hide and seek anymore," Winston called, his voice shaky.

Landon grabbed his brother's hand. "Don't cry. Mommy's already worried. We can't make it worse."

Winston sniffled and held back his tears. "Let's look outside too."

Landon shook his head. "Let's wait at the entrance."

Winston nodded.

As they walked to the entrance, they ran into Zoey.

"Landon, Winston, where's Mommy?" Zoey asked, worried.

"Finley's missing. Mommy went to look for her," Landon explained.

Zoey's face darkened. "When did this happen?"

"I don't know, but we've searched the whole garden," Landon said.

Zoey quickly said, "You two wait here. I'll get other parents to help."

They nodded.

Zoey sent a message to the parents' group chat and asked the kindergarten staff for help. Luckily, most parents knew Finley, so finding her shouldn't be too hard.
