Chapter 185 If You Don't Eat It, I'll Throw It Away

Unconsciously, the surgery had already lasted more than seven hours.

Meanwhile, at the kindergarten, most of the kids had already left, leaving only the three kids behind.

Although Finley had been taken home yesterday, Landon and Winston still treated her the same as usual at the kindergarten.

Seeing that no one had come to pick up Finley, the two boys started building a sandcastle with her in the sandbox, having a great time.

When Donovan arrived, he saw the three kids squatting in the sandbox, their laughter filling the playground of the kindergarten.

"Finley." Donovan stepped forward and called his daughter.

Finley looked at Landon and Winston, reluctant to get up.

Donovan frowned slightly and looked at the two boys, "Where's your mommy?"

Although Landon and Winston didn't like him anymore, they still stood up politely.

Landon pursed his lips, tilted his head to look at the small sandcastle they had just built, and didn't want to respond.

Winston answered innocently, "Mommy has a surgery today, it might be a bit complicated, so she hasn't come yet."

As soon as he finished speaking, he saw Landon's expression and quickly corrected himself. "But she should be here soon. Goodbye, Uncle! Goodbye, Finley!"

Donovan nodded and reached out to take Finley away.

But his outstretched hand touched no one.

Finley had lowered her head and taken a few steps back, retreating behind Landon and Winston, shaking her head at Donovan.

The two boys realized that Finley didn't want to leave and turned around to persuade her softly.

After a long time of persuasion, Finley still shook her head and even grabbed the straps of their backpacks. "I want to stay with you!"

Because Donovan had taken her away from Riley's house, Finley had been very cold towards Donovan these past few days, crying at the slightest displeasure. Donovan didn't dare to force her anymore and could only nod, "I'll wait with you."

With him there, the three kids were not as relaxed as before, sitting in a row on a small bench, not saying a word.

After waiting for nearly an hour, the sky was getting dark, but there was still no sign of Riley.

Donovan's face tensed slightly, and he took out his phone to call Riley.

He made several calls, but none were answered. It seemed that Riley was still in the operating room.

Looking at the time, Donovan lowered his eyes to the kids, "Are you hungry? I'll take you to get something to eat."

Finley's eyes lit up slightly, looking expectantly at the two boys beside her.

Landon gripped the straps of his backpack, shook his head with a serious face. "We'll wait for mommy. Uncle, you should take Finley back first."

Hearing Landon's words, Winston, although a bit hungry, held back and nodded in agreement. "Finley must be hungry. Uncle, you should take her back!"

The light in Finley's eyes dimmed, and she stubbornly shook her head at her daddy. "Not hungry!"

If Landon and Winston weren't leaving, Finley wouldn't leave either. She wanted to stay with them.

Donovan couldn't help but feel a headache.

He tried to persuade the kids a few more times, but they were all more stubborn than ever.

Donovan had no choice but to ask Paxton, who was waiting outside, to buy some food and bring it in.

"Thank you, Uncle, but we're not hungry." When the food arrived, Landon still refused.

Winston, patting his little stomach pitifully, echoed his brother's words against his will.

Donovan could guess that Landon and Winston held a grudge against him because of the news, leaving him helpless.

"These are specially bought for you. If you don't eat them, I'll have to throw them away." Saying this, Donovan headed for the trash can.

Landon and Winston hesitated for a while, unwilling to waste food, and finally took it.
