Chapter 310 Finley's Future Mother

After hanging up, a ruthless glint flashed in Hollis's eyes. She dialed another number and gave some quick instructions.

That weekend, early in the morning, Hollis drove to the Wilder residence.

Catherine was still having breakfast. Seeing Hollis, she smiled. "Why so early? Had breakfast? Want to join me?"

Hollis shook her head. "No, I'm here to pick you up."

Catherine nodded and continued her meal, chatting lightly with Hollis. After breakfast, Hollis took Catherine to the shopping district.

"How's Finley doing?" Hollis asked casually on the way. "I've been worried but haven't seen her since that day."

Catherine's face darkened. "That disappearance really scared her. She's been unstable. I don't know what to do."

Finley's autism had been ongoing for years. The psychologist said it wasn't congenital and could improve if she cooperated. But she hadn't, until Riley showed up.

Catherine believed Finley's reluctance was due to a lack of maternal love. She'd been pushing Donovan and Hollis to marry so Finley could have a mother figure.

Recently, Finley had shown some improvement, but after the disappearance, she regressed.

With her doubts about Riley, Catherine still thought Donovan and Hollis should be together. She looked at Hollis with relief.

Hollis put on a remorseful look. "It's my fault. Finley was stable. No wonder Donovan's been reluctant to be with me. I'm too careless with kids."

She blamed herself for Finley's disappearance and watched Catherine's reaction.

Catherine frowned but didn't blame her. "You did the right thing. Donovan living with Riley makes no sense. You were thinking of their well-being. Finley's just stubborn. We indulged her too much."

Seeing Catherine's lack of blame, Hollis smirked but quickly hid it. "Girls should be spoiled, especially sweet ones like Finley. If I had a daughter like her, I'd spoil her rotten."

Catherine felt reassured that Hollis would take good care of Finley. She looked at her with trust. "You're Finley's future mother in my eyes. I'll talk to Donovan."

Hollis smiled silently. She doubted Catherine's talk with Donovan would change anything. To make her vision a reality, Hollis knew she had to rely on herself.
