Chapter 34 The Man Who Wouldn't Go Away
Upon hearing this, everyone was somewhat surprised. They had seen many doctors attempting to treat Mr. Benedict Senior, but it was the first time someone had requested to undress him.
Dalton was the first to react and cautiously asked, "Is this necessary?"
Riley looked at him inexplicably and replied, "I need to treat Mr. Benedict Senior. The clothes are hindering me. Who will help me? Please hurry."
For a moment, everyone in the room, including the medical team, looked at each other in confusion. They couldn't understand what kind of treatment method required the patient to undress.
After hesitating for a while, Dalton gritted his teeth and walked over.
Seeing her brother compromise, Mia became anxious, "What kind of treatment method is this? Why?"
Before she could finish her sentence, Riley opened the medical kit he carried with him and took out a wooden box. Inside the box was a roll made of something similar to parchment.
When he unrolled it, the neatly arranged treatment instruments filled the surface.
Mia was shocked by what she saw and her remaining words were swallowed back. Riley focused on taking out the necessary instruments and sterilizing them with alcohol. Mia's words merely circled around her ears and were immediately dismissed from her mind.
In front of her, Dalton struggled to support Mr. Benedict Senior, half-dragging him onto himself, with one hand stabilizing his body and the other laboriously removing Mr. Benedict Senior's clothes.
Mr. Benedict Senior had no consciousness at all and would not cooperate in the slightest.
As a result, Dalton's work became incredibly difficult.
Donovan silently watched Riley's actions on the sickbed, his gaze gradually growing deep.
Seeing Dalton's strenuous movements, he put Finley down and instructed, "Daddy's going to help Uncle Dalton. You be good, don't run around."
Finley nodded obediently and watched as Daddy walked through the crowd, standing by the sickbed and silently assisting Uncle Dalton in removing Grandpa Benedict's clothes.
"Thank you, Van," Dalton gratefully glanced at him.
Donovan nodded silently.
Riley also noticed Donovan appearing by the sickbed, her eyes trembled for a moment before quickly calming down, and she began treating with focus.
Soon, Mr. Benedict Senior's clothes were completely removed, exposing his emaciated body to everyone's eyes.
Riley had long anticipated this and solemnly instructed the two, "Support him firmly, I am going to start the treatment."
Dalton nodded with a serious expression.
Riley glanced at Donovan and seeing that he had no reaction or words, she took a deep breath and began treating Mr. Benedict Senior with great caution.
As soon as she used the first instrument, a voice of reprimand immediately sounded in the room, "What do you think you're doing? Can medical instruments be used so casually?"
The one speaking was Mia.
Her family also had many doctors, and although she was not proficient in medicine, she could tell that Riley's treatment was extremely dangerous.
Ordinary people would find it difficult to withstand such a treatment method, let alone someone as physically weak as Mr. Benedict Senior at this moment.
Mia's face tensed, her eyes filled with panic and anger, "If you don't know what you're doing, then don't do it! What are you doing now? Trying to kill my grandpa?"
After speaking, she forcefully pushed Riley.
Riley also heard her questioning but remained focused on the treatment and ignored her.
However, she didn't expect Mia to suddenly rush over.
Unprepared, Riley was pushed, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the side.
In the end, she almost collided into Donovan's embrace.
