Chapter 50 Having a Quarrel with Him
On the way back home, Finley was still angry.
She ignored Daddy who was following behind her and went straight upstairs, slamming the door in anger.
Cole stood at the door, seeing Miss Finley in a huff and Mr. Wilder expressionless behind her, she knew that these two had just had a fight.
"Mr. Wilder, why is Miss Finley angry?"
Hearing the knocking sound from upstairs, Cole looked at Donovan with concern.
Donovan thought about the reason why the little girl was angry with him and said in a cold tone, "It's nothing, she's just throwing a tantrum. Keep an eye on her."
Cole nodded and agreed, "Alright."
For some reason, Miss Finley seldom got angry, but she always argued with Mr. Wilder.
Mr. Wilder, on the other hand, was not someone who would pacify others.
In the end, they still needed a mistress in the house.
Finley only got angry with Donovan, but when Cole knocked on the door, she obediently opened it.
"Finley, come and eat something."
Cole walked in with a tray of food, all of Finley's favorite dishes.
However, Finley had no appetite and only took a few bites before pushing the tray away.
Seeing this, Cole felt heartbroken.
However, it was ultimately their father-daughter matter, and she didn't feel comfortable interfering. Therefore, she took away the tray and later took Finley to take a bath.
When she finished cleaning up the bathroom and came out, she saw Miss Finley lying on the bed, with a notebook placed in front of her, focused and seriously typing on the keyboard, not knowing what she was doing.
Cole was used to seeing Miss Finley typing on the computer and didn't ask too much. After tidying up, she left the room.
On the other side, Riley was stuck in traffic with two children in the car.
Landon and Winston sat quietly in the back, occasionally exchanging glances and looking at Mommy's expression through the rearview mirror.
They didn't know what happened at the kindergarten earlier, although Mommy said she was fine, they could tell that she was not in a good mood.
"Mommy, we made greeting cards at the kindergarten today! The teacher asked us to make them for our favorite person, and both me and Landon made one for you!"
Winston secretly gave his brother a knowing look.
Landon understood and nodded along, "Mommy, do you want to know what we wrote?"
Riley knew that the two children were trying to cheer her up, so she smiled and nodded, "What did you write?"
Just as she finished speaking, she heard a rustling sound from the back, followed by Winston's emotional reading.
Riley smiled, "It's so long, no wonder your teacher told me that your English is good. What did Landon write?"
Landon sat up straight and said earnestly, "Mommy is a very talented doctor. Taking care of patients is hard work, and taking care of me and my little brother is also hard work. In the future, I want to be a talented person just like Mommy! I hope I can grow up quickly and make money to support the family, so Mommy won't be so tired."
Listening to the words of the two children, Riley couldn't help but feel emotional. The things that happened at the kindergarten just now were thrown out of her mind. "Thank you, my boys."
The two children glanced at each other, sensing that Mommy's mood seemed to have improved, and they both breathed a sigh of relief.
