Chapter 54 Does It Still Hurt?
The two little boys were well-behaved and knew that these two race car figures were expensive. Although they liked them, they shook their heads at the little girl. "These are too valuable, we can't accept them."
Finley tilted her head and placed the race car figures next to them. She turned around and wrote on the book, "Gift. Thank you. Help."
Winston looked at her holding the book, confused. The little girl didn't write everything, so who knows what she wanted to say?
Landon was also initially puzzled, but quickly understood. "Are you thanking us for helping you that day?"
Finley nodded vigorously, put the book aside, and handed the race car figures to them.
Upon hearing her son's words, Riley remembered what the kindergarten teacher had said. Landon and Winston had protected Finley before.
However, what conflicts could occur between children?
Finley seemed to still care about the time when Landon and Winston helped her.
"What happened that day?" Riley couldn't help but ask.
Landon replied, "A classmate pushed Finley and hurt her. Winston and I made that classmate apologize to her and took her to find the teacher."
Riley nodded understandingly.
"Mommy, can we keep it?" Landon felt a little guilty seeing Finley holding the figurine all the time.
Riley smiled and agreed, "You can keep it, and you can also give your own things to Finley."
Upon hearing mommy's words, the two children reached out and took the figurine from Finley's hand, not forgetting to say, "Thank you, Finley. Wait for us, we will find a gift for you!"
After speaking, they ran back upstairs with the figurine and searched their room for the gift they wanted to give to Finley.
There were only Riley and Finley left in the living room.
Seeing the well-behaved little girl, Riley couldn't help but show concern. "Does it still hurt from the fall that day?"
After listening, Finley walked towards her and raised her injured hand for her to see.
All Riley could see on the little girl's fair hand was a prominent bruise.
Riley furrowed her brows in distress, held the little girl's hand, and carefully examined it. After confirming that it was just a superficial injury, she felt relieved and asked, "Did you put medicine on it?"
Finley hesitated for a few seconds and innocently shook her head upon seeing the concerned expression of the beautiful aunt.
Riley felt even more distressed.
The injury was so noticeable, Donovan couldn't have missed it, but he didn't even think to apply some medicine for the little girl.
Combined with the fact that the little girl often ran away from home.
Riley internally criticized Donovan, the father, for being too incompetent!
Finley was still unaware that her father's image had worsened and looked at the beautiful aunt in anticipation.
She said she hadn't treated her wound, so the beautiful aunt should help her with it, right?
Sensing the little girl's gaze, Riley snapped back to reality, touched the bruise on the little girl's hand, and gently said, "Wait here, Auntie will get the medicine box to treat your wound."
Finley's eyes brightened and she nodded vigorously.
Seeing the little girl like this, Riley couldn't help but soften. She stood up, fetched the medicine box, and carefully massaged the bruise on the little girl's hand.
After all, she was a doctor and a woman, much more meticulous and gentle compared to Donovan. The pressure and strength she applied were just right.
"Does it hurt?" She asked while massaging, paying attention to the little girl's reaction.
Finley shook her head and looked down at the beautiful aunt massaging her injured hand with her eyes.
Aunt's hands were also very beautiful. Moreover, her movements were much lighter than Dad's, and she couldn't feel any pain at all. She liked the beautiful aunt even more!
