Hearing Riley's words, Donovan raised an eyebrow and glanced down at Finley, who he was holding.
Finley looked down, gripping his hand a bit tighter, clearly nervous.

Donovan frowned slightly and said in a deep voice, "No, but Finley has something to say."
Finley nodded cooperatively, looking pitifully at Landon and Winston with her big eyes.
She sensed that Landon and Winston weren't fond of Donovan, but she hoped they would grow to like him and Riley as much as she did.
Meeting Finley's pitiful gaze, Landon and Winston frowned and stayed silent.
Riley looked down at Finley again, "Finley, have you eaten? Do you want to come in and eat a bit with me?"
Hearing that she could eat with Riley, Finley nodded vigorously with joy.
Seeing Finley's excited expression, Riley smiled and patted her head, extending her hand to Finley.
A strange look flashed in Donovan's eyes, but he let go of Finley's hand without comment and followed them into the living room.
Landon and Winston had already had breakfast, so they sat in the living room waiting for Riley and Finley to eat, while also keeping an eye on Donovan.
Donovan noticed their wary gazes and felt a bit helpless, but he didn't react and let them watch him.
In the dining room, Finley had actually already had breakfast but just wanted to spend more time with Riley.
While eating, Finley occasionally stared at Riley. Seeing that Riley didn't look well, Finley eagerly passed her some food.
Riley was first taken care of by Landon and Winston in the morning, and now by Finley. She felt both comforted and guilty. Finley liked her so much, but because of Donovan, she had to distance herself from Finley.
