Chapter 239 Mr. Wilder, Go Accompany Your Fiancée

Back in the room, Riley's face turned grim as she sat on the bed, zoning out.

She hadn't expected to run into Donovan here, let alone that Hollis would follow.

If the three of them met...

Riley couldn't imagine the scene.

Thinking of this, Riley's eyes narrowed, and she started packing.

She couldn't confront them, but she could avoid them.

She had nothing left to do in North City, so leaving now was fine.

Halfway through packing, there was a knock on the door.

Riley hesitated before opening it. "Who is it?"

Adam's voice came from outside, "It's me. Almost lunchtime. Want to go together?"

Riley opened the door and let Adam in.

Seeing the packed bags, Adam was stunned. "What's this?"

Riley smiled apologetically. "I thought there's nothing left to do, so I wanted to head back first."

Adam frowned. "Because of Hollis?"

Otherwise, why hadn't she mentioned she was going to leave in the morning?

Adam knew about their issues, so Riley didn't hide it and nodded.

"With me here, what can she do to you? We go in and out together. She wouldn't still think you have something to do with Mr. Wilder, right?" Adam was puzzled.

Riley smiled. "Better to avoid trouble. Since there's nothing left to do, I can leave anytime. Why make things difficult?"

Adam pondered and nodded. "Yeah, there's really nothing left to do here. If you're leaving, I'll go with you."

Riley agreed.

Soon, they packed and went downstairs to check out.

As they finished, they saw Donovan coming back.

"Mr. Wilder," Adam greeted.

Riley nodded coldly.

Seeing their suitcases, Donovan frowned. "You two are leaving?"

Adam nodded. "The exchange meeting is over, and we have nothing left to do here. It's time to go back."

He looked at Riley, wondering if she had anything to say to Donovan.

But Riley looked indifferent. After Adam explained, she pulled her suitcase and walked out.

It was lunchtime, and she didn't want to run into Hollis.

Adam quickly followed.

Just as they reached the door, Donovan grabbed Riley's wrist.

Riley paused and glanced at his hand. "Mr. Wilder, please behave."

Donovan didn't let go. He looked at Adam. "What time is your flight?"

Adam glanced at Donovan's hand and said coldly, "The earliest flight. If you buy tickets now, you might not make it. Mr. Wilder, please don't waste our time."

Donovan frowned but quickly relaxed, looking at Riley. "Coincidentally, I bought the same flight. Let's go together."

Riley shook off Donovan's hand and met his gaze. "Mr. Wilder, you should go accompany your fiancée. She's waiting in your room. We won't be joining you."

With that, she left without looking back.
