Chapter 104 Dating at a Restaurant

"This isn't concern. It's an order!" Alexander said coldly and ruthlessly, "Hurry up and eat. Once you're done, we're going home."

Lillian had just asked casually, 'How could he possibly care about her.' She thought.

She suddenly felt foolish. It would be better not to ask such questions in the future.

At a coffee shop.

Rena, with her pregnant belly, looked distressed as she confided in Madison, who was sitting across from her, "Madison, what should we do about Blake's current situation? Vincent is really angry this time. He won't even look at the baby in my belly. He won't forgive Blake."

Madison snorted, "Stop mentioning the baby in your belly. If you think you can use that to gain favor, it's not going to work."

"I'm not hoping for favor, just forgiveness would be enough," Rena said angrily, stirring her juice with a straw.

Madison asked, "With such a big issue, instead of finding a solution, you have time to meet me?"

"Madison, I came to you to ask for your help." Rena lowered her posture, her tone pleading.

"Me?" Madison laughed self-deprecatingly, "How can I help you? You know Alexander is married and doesn't like me. How can I pass on a message for you?"

Rena said urgently, "Don't underestimate yourself. Even though he and Lillian have a good relationship, you're still his friend. You could ask him out and put in a good word for us. Aren't you a distant relative of Samantha? He would listen to you."

Madison laughed for a while, thinking to herself how highly Rena thought of her. Last time, Alexander had kicked her out of his house. She still felt embarrassed about it.

"I originally wanted to ask you to find Samantha, but considering your close relationship, I thought it might trouble you to plead on our behalf. So I decided it would be better to ask you to find Alexander. After all, you two have dated before. He wouldn't be so heartless," Rena said softly.

Madison shocked, 'She and Alexander had dated? My goodness, if only that were true! She wanted to be with Alexander so badly that she publicly claimed to be his girlfriend, but it was all one-sided. He hadn't even touched a single finger of hers!'

"Madison, I'm begging you. Please speak on our behalf. Blake is in a slump. We can't be kicked out of the Sinclair family," Rena pleaded earnestly.

Madison said awkwardly, "Rena, it's not that I don't want to help, but they've been fighting until now. Seeing you fail, how could he possibly forgive you or plead on your behalf? It's unrealistic."

"We promise to behave and not cause any more trouble. As long as Alexander allows Blake to return back to the company and forgives him, that's enough. We don't want any shares or inheritance. Just pass this message to him," Rena said firmly.

This task was too difficult. Madison wanted to refuse. She knew she wouldn't be able to persuade Alexander. He might not even agree to meet her. But her vanity made her proud and boastful in front of Rena.

"I'll try, but I can't guarantee success. Don't get your hopes up," Madison said.

Rena nodded, saying, "I understand." She pushed a card towards Madison. "I'm not able to go shopping now, so you take this card and use it."

"Really? Then I won't be polite. Thank you," Madison said, taking the card and putting it in her bag without hesitation.

'Why not take it? It was what she deserved.' Madison thought carefully about how to ask Alexander out, knowing he disliked her.

The next day.

After pulling an all-nighter, Lillian still hadn't completed her task. However, she had made some progress, memorizing all the phone numbers and over seventy words. She was just too tired to continue, but the remaining twenty words shouldn't be a problem.

Kaitlyn didn't push her too hard but instead of praising her, "Not bad, better than I expected."

Before Lillian could get too excited, Kaitlyn continued, "But don't count your chickens. Add a hundred more words today, and I'll check tomorrow. Also, your pronunciation must be identical to the original. I'll be grading you."

'Got it,' Lillian thought, she really shouldn't get ahead of herself.

Kaitlyn suddenly asked, "Do you know how to tie a tie?"

"No," Lillian asked, "Do I need?"

Kaitlyn replied, "What do you think? Practice at home, and I'll check tomorrow."

Alright, another assignment for her.

At noon, Angela complained on WhatsApp.

Angela: [Out of the blue, Tom wants to take me out to eat. It's been so many years. I've almost forgotten what he looks like.].

Wendy messaged curiously: [Don't refuse. What if he turns out to be your type when you see him again? Go!]

Lillian looked at her phone screen and smiled.

Lillian: [He seems to care about you. He asked about you last time. I don't think he has any other intentions, just wants to catch up with an old friend.]

Angela, sitting in a high-end restaurant, rolled her eyes at her phone and replied: [But I don't want to catch up. If it weren't for the fact that his dad knows my dad, I wouldn't have come out.]

Wendy: [You're so picky, not even taking a free lunch.] Then she sent an emoji.

The restaurant door moved, then Tom came in, holding a bouquet of lilies. He looked around with a smile and quickly spotted Angela.

He walked over, stood by the table, and asked gentlemanly, "Are you Angela?"

Angela looked up at the familiar face and asked surprisingly, "Are you Tom?"

"It's been a long time. You can still recognize me, so I guess I haven't changed much," Tom said politely, handing her the flowers.

Angela took the flowers and thanked him.

"You've changed a lot. I can only vaguely see your old self in your face. Besides, you were the one who invited me today. How could I not know it was you?" Angela hadn't expected that the Tom who returned from abroad had changed from a playboy to a gentleman.

After ordering, they chatted casually.

"All these years, we haven't kept in touch. When I found out Lillian was your friend, I thought it was quite a coincidence."

Angela said, "Exactly, who would have thought that after all this time, my friend would become your relative?"

Tom asked directly, "Your friends are all married. Why don't you have a boyfriend yet? Are you too picky?"

Angela pouted proudly, "You don't have a girlfriend either."
