Chapter 202 Moving Back to Sinclair Villa

Linda, chomping on an orange, nodded and said, "She seemed kinda down and didn't wanna chat much."

Beatrice jumped in, "A pregnant woman's mood is super important. If she's in a funk, she could get prenatal depression."

A nearby relative added, "Yeah, my granddaughter had that and later took her own life. It's no joke."

Linda got worried and asked, "Is it really that bad?"

"Mom, I'm not trying to freak you out," Beatrice reassured. "Lillian's carrying the Sinclair family's baby. We gotta look out for her. She's not working, and Alexander's always swamped, so he can't hang out with her much. At home, she probably doesn't have much to talk about with Kelly. Her friends are likely busy too. With no one to talk to, she could easily get depressed."

"You're right," Linda agreed. "She needs someone to talk to. When I was there, I kept her company. She and Kelly are probably not as close as she is to me."

If Lillian heard this, she'd find Linda adorable.

Beatrice laughed. "The house is way more fun with more people. Leah, being her age, can chat with her. Lillian'll be happy to stay at Sinclair Villa. Rena often says she wants to come back to keep you company because it feels warm and cozy with everyone together."

Linda, convinced, said, "Tomorrow, when we get discharged, let's have Alexander bring Lillian back to Sinclair Villa."

"Mom, you really spoil Lillian. Rena will be jealous," Beatrice joked.

Linda replied, "You three should come back too. Two pregnant women will have more to talk about. Sinclair Villa should be lively."

"Thanks, Mom!" Beatrice said happily.

Just then, Justin and Blake returned and saw Beatrice smiling. Curious, they asked, "What's the good news?"

Beatrice, a bit scared of Justin, didn't speak. She had only dared to talk to Linda while he was out. If Justin had heard, he'd think she had an ulterior motive.

Linda told him, "Tomorrow we're getting discharged. Let's have the kids come back for a few days to keep us company. What do you think?"

Justin lay on the hospital bed, looked at Beatrice, and asked, "Was this your idea?"

Beatrice, nervous, quickly smiled and said, "Dad, you misunderstood. It wasn't me."

Linda explained, "I noticed Lillian's not doing well mentally. I'm worried she's too bored at home. If she comes back to Sinclair Villa, she'll feel better with more people around."

Justin, hands crossed, glanced at Beatrice and Linda, then nodded. "Alright, Lillian and the baby are important. Let's all come back."

Beatrice sighed in relief, smiled, and stayed quiet.

The next day came quickly. Justin and Linda were discharged, and Alexander came to pick them up.

After the discharge, Linda took Alexander's hand and said, "Alexander, I need to talk to you."

Alexander asked, "What's up, Grandma?"

"Alright, take me home first, then swing by and pick up Lillian. Bring her to Sinclair Villa for a few days. You're always busy, and she's got no one to chat with. She could get prenatal depression. I also asked Beatrice and her family to move in, so Rena can talk pregnancy stuff with Lillian. It's better than her being bored and overthinking," Linda rattled off in one breath.

Alexander chuckled, "Grandma, who put you up to this? Beatrice? Blake?"

"Why do you ask? Nothing bad would happen to Lillian at Sinclair Villa." Linda shot a look at Alexander and Justin. "You two are always worried about who's influencing me!"

Alexander shook his head, "Grandma, Lily likes being at home. She's fine. She chats with Kelly, sleeps, and the day flies by. I've cut down on my social stuff. She won't get prenatal depression."

"How can that compare to the liveliness at Sinclair Villa?" Linda insisted. "Just do as I say. Got it?"

"Does Luke have to come too?" Alexander asked as they got into the car.

"Yeah, bring him along," Linda said.

Alexander sighed, "Grandma, Lily likes peace and quiet. She doesn't like crowded places. It's early in her pregnancy; she shouldn't be around too many people. Let her stay home."

"I saw her yesterday; she looked malnourished. Bring her back, and I'll have the cook whip up some nutritious meals for her," Linda insisted.

Seeing Linda's firm stance and Justin's silence, Alexander felt something was off. Not wanting to waste their good intentions, he said, "I'll take Lily back for a couple of days. If she's uncomfortable, I'll bring her home right away."

"Do you think I would harm Lily?" Linda playfully slapped the back of his head.

No matter your age or status, you're always a kid to your closest elders.

Alexander knew Linda cared deeply for Lily and the baby, wanting to protect them. He understood her concern.

However, if anyone tried to harm Lily and the baby, he wouldn't let it happen.

After dropping Linda off, Alexander went straight home. Lillian, surprised, asked, "Why are you back? Weren't you going to the office?"

Alexander said, "Grandma gave me a task, so I had to come back first."

Sitting on the bed with her phone, Lillian asked, "Does this task involve me?"

Alexander nodded, "Yeah, honey, you'll have to bear with it. Grandma wants you to stay at Sinclair Villa for a few days and bring Luke."

"Why suddenly ask me to stay at Sinclair Villa?" Lillian asked, puzzled.

"Grandma said you don't look well and seem malnourished. She's worried about you and the baby. She wants you to stay at Sinclair Villa to get proper nutrition," Alexander explained.

Honestly, Lillian didn't want to go to Sinclair Villa. Dealing with Samantha was already tough. But she thought, 'Grandma is so old. If she has a request, let's fulfill it.'

"Grandma is so good to me. We must complete this task!" Lillian joked.
