Chapter 250 Beatrice Goes to Ask Ethan

"I noticed something was off with you and Nico lately, and sure enough, you were doing things without me knowing!" Beatrice angrily slapped Blake. "Do you think you're so great? Didn't I tell you not to act rashly? Why don't you ever listen?"

"Mom, I'm doing this to achieve something in front of you!" Blake shouted. "In everyone's eyes, I'm nothing compared to Alexander. Every time Justin reprimands someone, he never calls on me. Do you know how painful I am? I'm not willing to admit it!"

Beatrice looked at Blake with a mix of heartache and anger, her lips tightly pressed together, and sighed heavily. "Blake, you can't compare to Alexander, but aren't we working hard to improve? Why are you in such a hurry? If you're discovered, all our efforts will be in vain."

Blake comforted, "Mom, don't worry. I wasn't discovered at the hospital. Cynthia is dead, and there's no evidence left! If we resolve this current issue and calm Justin down, we'll be fine."

"How could Justin calm down? He can't wait to kick us out of the Sinclair family!" Beatrice gritted her teeth at the mention of Justin.

Blake asked, "Mom, what do we do now? You said Ethan won't help me, and Justin won't let me go. Are we really going to be kicked out of the Sinclair family?"

Beatrice, looking composed, glanced at Blake, who was panicking, and said irritably, "Don't panic. Listen to me!"

Blake asked, "Mom, do you have a good plan?"

Beatrice said, "In this situation, not making things worse is already a positive outcome. I believe Alexander won't let us off easily at Justin's birthday party. Therefore, we need to stay alert and avoid falling into his trap. I'll plead with Ethan."

"Mom!" Blake now felt regretful. He hadn't accomplished anything, had caused Nico to miscarry, been framed, and now Beatrice was worried about him. At this moment, he finally admitted that he was indeed not as capable as Alexander.

"Don't speak more. I understand you. It's not that easy for them to kick us out!" After calming down, Beatrice turned to comfort Blake.

Beatrice stood up, patted Blake's shoulder, and said, "Stay here. No matter who asks you, don't admit anything. Leave everything to me. Understand?"

"I understand. I wouldn't say anything about what happened before. Mom, please plead with Ethan to save me!" Blake urged.

The room returned to silence. Blake, restless and anxious, paced back and forth.

In a flowerpot on the shelf, a light flickered, transmitting the scene to another room.

Beatrice went to find Ethan. But there were too many guests today, and Samantha was always by his side, giving Beatrice no chance to be alone with Ethan.

While socializing with guests, she kept an eye out for an opportunity. Finally, she caught Ethan alone and quickly went over, taking his arm and coquettishly saying, "Honey, you've been with Samantha all this time. Several people have asked me where you are. Come with me and give me some dignity, okay?"

It was good that she came over because he hadn't asked about Blake yet.

After meeting a few people with Beatrice, Ethan found a quiet place and coldly asked, "What's going on with Blake?"

Beatrice, looking pitiful, said, "Honey, do you really think Blake, with his intelligence and courage, could dare to do something like this? He's too busy trying to please Justin to do something so brainless."

Ethan frowned and gave her a sidelong glance. "No one knows what Blake is thinking. He can make a risky move. Although I say something to Justin about this, it would be pointless."

Beatrice's eyes turned red with tears. "Honey, Blake is your son too. Why would you say that?"

Ethan was also angry. The incident in Aetherland was one thing, but now Blake had provoked Justin, causing even more trouble for himself. Justin and Linda had always disliked him and pressured him, and now it was even harder to protect Blake.

"With this kind of trouble, I'd rather he wasn't my son!" Ethan said angrily. "I just don't understand. Out of so many people, why is it always him? He even accused Alexander in front of everyone! He washed our laundry in public and disregarded Justin's dignity!"

He paused angrily. "I think Justin should teach him a lesson!"

Beatrice, seeing that Ethan wasn't helping Blake but instead made things worse., felt resentful but still put on a smile. "Honey, calm down. Blake was just desperate and didn't know what to do, so he spoke without thinking. You can teach him a lesson later. However, if Justin wants to deal with Blake, you can't just stand by."

Ethan sneered. "Do you think Justin will listen to me if I intervene? For your sake, my words to Justin are less effective than Alexander's!"

Beatrice, wiping her tears, turned away and said pitifully, "Fine, if you don't help, I won't make things difficult for you. We can't bring you glory and only cause you trouble. I won't care anymore. Let Justin deal with Blake however he wants. At worst, we'll be kicked out of the Sinclair family. After all these years of shamelessly staying here, it's time to leave and stop being a nuisance!" She started crying.

Although Ethan was still angry, his heart softened when he saw Beatrice's tears. She was right; Blake was his son, too. No matter how angry he was, could he really stand by and do nothing?

He hugged Beatrice from behind, softened his tone, and comforted her. "Don't cry. I'm just angry at his incompetence!"

"Although you're angry at his incompetence, Blake is still your son! Your words hurt me!" Beatrice said sadly, leaning into Ethan's arms.

Ethan patted her shoulder to comfort her, "Stop crying. Justin won't deal with Blake at his birthday party today. I'll plead with Justin tonight."

Beatrice, still crying, asked pitifully, "Aren't you lying to me?"

"Of course not." Ethan sighed. "After all, there are no heartless parents."

Hearing this, Beatrice felt a bit more at ease. "Blake and I can only rely on you."

Samantha and Alexander stood not far away, watching with anger in their eyes.

"Ethan is being fooled by Beatrice again," Samantha cursed.

"Mom, why are you so angry? After all these years, haven't you gotten used to it?" Alexander said coldly.

"As long as Blake and Beatrice are around, I won't be at peace!" Samantha said in a low voice. "Is everything foolproof this time?"

Alexander responded affirmatively.
